Larsa Compares New Boyfriend Jeff Coby to Ex-Husband Scottie Pippen tram

The Real Housewives of Miami's Larsa Pippen is the first to admit she has a type, and her new boyfriend, Jeff Coby, certainly fits the description.

After discussing Larsa's dating life on Season 7, Episode 10, Stephanie Shojaee kept the conversation going with her castmate on The Real Housewives of Miami After Show, opining that she should try dating a "normal" business person, rather than athletes. As Stephanie reasoned, those in the latter profession tend to be out at clubs celebrating wins.

Citing her 20-year marriage to NBA legend Scottie Pippen, Larsa pushed back on Stephanie's assumption, explaining that her ex-husband actually "never went out," but rather, was a "homebody" who loved to play golf and went to bed "super early."

According to Larsa, her romantic interest in athletes has more to do with some physical traits that she's become "used to" in relationships.

"I think that because I was married to a guy that's so tall, that I just like that," the mom of four explained. "Like, my kids are tall. I'm just used to that vibe." (For the record, both Scottie and Jeff are reportedly 6-feet-8-inches in height.)

As such, Larsa confirmed to Stephanie that she would absolutely date a "seven-foot banker" who wore a tie to work, rather than a sports jersey.

As Stephanie highlighted, though, Jeff, is a former athlete, having previously played basketball for the New York Knicks, in addition to international teams in Spain, Luxembourg, the Dominican Republic, and Japan. So, as she saw it, he didn't have the pro baller's late-night clubbing mentality that she was advising her to avoid.

Stephanie went on to describe Larsa's new man as "really smart" and "cultured," noting that the Columbia University-educated author of 2023's A Mindful Journey both writes and speaks multiple languages.

Most importantly, she revealed that Larsa seems to be "happy" with Jeff.

"I FaceTimed her like two days ago. She picks up the FaceTime in a bra and a thong," Stephanie revealed. "I was like, 'Oh, OK!' She's just happy. You wouldn't be doing that if you weren't happy. She's, like, over there making smoothies. You can tell she's just happy, so it makes me happy."

Elsewhere on the After Show, RHOM's Lisa Hochstein, Guerdy Abraira, and Kiki Barth also shared similar sentiments on Larsa's relationship.

"He seems like he's very smart," Lisa said, later adding, "Honestly, a happy Larsa is a nicer Larsa, so that's what I want. We don't like an unhappy Larsa, 'cause then she lashes out."

She and her castmates also compared and contrasted the current matchup to Larsa's former relationship with Marcus Jordan. As Lisa pointed out, both Marcus, 34, and Jeff, 31, are "very young," while Guerdy claimed the two were "very different."

Kiki, meanwhile, said, "Jeff is the complete opposite of Marcus," gushing about how much she likes Larsa's "fun" new boyfriend: "He's an amazing human being. I've met him. Great personality. He works hard [and] he's not a nepo baby."

Larsa Pippen reveals why she typically dates younger men

Prior to Larsa confirming her relationship with Jeff with a joint red carpet appearance in April 2025, Stephanie offered her some dating advice during the cast's trip to Seville, Spain, on RHOM's August 13 episode.

Echoing her After Show comments that Larsa "should try to stay away from athletes" for a couple months, Stephanie told her, "I just want you to be happy."

Larsa, meanwhile, insisted that she was "open to whatever the universe has in store" for her, whether that be an athlete or not. When Stephanie and a member of her glam team chimed in that Larsa would always choose a younger guy over an older one, though, she took the opportunity to explain why that might be the case.

"I can't go to bed like [Stephanie] here at 8:00," Larsa reasoned. "She couldn't keep up with a 35 year old. … I like to stay up all night."

Even so, Stephanie was still crafting a plan to play matchmaker for her dear friend.

"I don't have a guy for Larsa yet because she does have very, very strict requirements," she told a producer. "I think she would need somebody, like, in finance or an investor. You know, maybe she could even [date], like, a builder."

Though Larsa shared in a confessional that she would "be open to" letting Stephanie set her up on a date, the suggestion she could date a builder prompted her to add, "No. Let's not get carried away."
