Kaye Adams walks out of Loose Women studio after 'choking up' on-air trucc

Loose Women host Kaye Adams was forced to leave the studio during a poignant conversation on Thursday, October 31, but returned to the show after a few minutes

During a deeply moving discussion on Loose Women on Thursday, Kaye Adams had to leave the set mid-chat.

The scene unfolded on the ITV programme when Kaye, alongside panellists Olivia Attwood, Nadia Sawalha, and Denise Welch, delved into a conversation about Nadia's husband Mark Adderley's 20-year sobriety milestone. The talk took a personal turn as Nadia opened up about her marriage's rocky past and how their daughter Kiki was the glue that held them together.

It was a moment of raw emotion in the studio, with everyone hanging on Nadia's every word about her family's struggle with addiction. That's when Kaye started to "struggle" on live TV.

Not wanting to interrupt, she crept off set as Nadia looked up and said: "Are you alright? Do you want some water?" Before adding: "She's got a tickle."

Nadia later commented to audience members that Kaye was "choked up" after she hadn't returned for some time

Despite the unexpected hiccup, the seasoned TV stars Nadia, Olivia, and Denise kept the show rolling without Kaye at the helm, reports the Mirror.

Yet, even as they pressed on, the sounds of what seemed to be Kaye having a "coughing fit" echoed in the background, capturing the attention of both the studio audience and viewers at home.

The trio attempted to fill the gap while Kaye took a brief break to collect herself, but fortunately, she soon recovered and returned to her hosting duties, reassuring concerned fans with a wave that she was feeling better.

Later in the show, the conversation shifted to the topic of cheating, with the panel discussing whether it was acceptable for women to cheat but not men. They all seemed to agree that there were "double standards" at play when it came to female infidelity.

Olivia Attwood, a former Love Island star, admitted that she had different views on her girlfriends, thinking "they could do no wrong in her eyes", but acknowledged that if a man did the same, the conversation would be very different.

Loose Women is on ITV1 weekdays at 12.30pm and on ITVX
