Reality TV series Vanderpump Rules stars Katie Maloney and Tom Sandoval have made headlines again. Maloney in an episode of the podcast, Disrespectfully, which aired on July 24, addressed Tom Sandoval's lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend, Ariana Madix. Co-host Dayna Kathan said,
“He said he had bad legal advice. I don’t believe that for a second. I think he saw the backlash. You wanna move on? Then why the f**k are you suing her, you psycho?”
Katie agreed with him and questioned why Tom deactivated his Instagram account before the lawsuit went viral and doubted if he was preparing for a "blowback" from the audience.
Her comments against Sandoval come after Sandoval shared a statement on July 18, addressing rumors about filing a lawsuit against Ariana Madix on July 16, allegedly accusing her of invasion of privacy. In the lawsuit, he accused Madix of accessing explicit videos of him and former Vanderpump Rules cast mate Rachel Leviss, without his consent on March 1, 2023.
The lawsuit allegedly accused Ariana of also sharing the videos. As per the lawsuit obtained by US Weekly, Ariana was also accused of making copies of the "explicit" videos.
In the statement, Sandoval mentioned that he was misled by his lawyer,
"In no way am I suing Ariana. The action against Ariana brought on my behalf is being removed. I had no will or vindictiveness toward Ariana."

While expressing her disapproval of Tom Sandoval's recent attitude towards friend Ariana Madix, on the podcast, Disrespectfully, which aired on July 24, Katie questioned Tom Sandoval's intentions.
Maloney questioned the reason behind Tom and new girlfriend, Victoria Lee Robinson, deactivating their Instagram account before his lawsuit against ex-Ariana Madix went public. She also believes Sandoval deactivated his Instagram account to prepare for the blowback he would have received from the audience and knew "the gravity of what was going to happen."
Katie Maloney also went on to defend Madix and said Tom's attitude towards Ariana had been "unfair."
"I don’t like the attitude that just because [Ariana] has amazing things going on in her life, she’s got a wonderful boyfriend and she’s in Fiji that what happened wasn’t painful and awful and a terrible thing to experience. That can still [be] 100 percent true and exist in her mind and wounds in her. That is a very unfair attitude to have.”
Katie also wrapped up the discussion around Sandoval by concluding, "I hate that man so much."
After dropping the lawsuit against his ex, he filed a countersuit against Rachel Leviss, the woman he allegedly cheated on Madix with. Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix ended their relationship in March 2023 after nine years of being together.
