JON Richardson has given a rare update on his love life - weeks after estranged wife Lucy Beaumont was spotted with a new man.
Fans of the popular comedian were shocked in April when he and fellow comic Lucy announced they had split after nine years of marriage.
Last month, Lucy, 41, was pictured leaving a theatre with her rumoured new man, sound engineer Martin Wallace.
Now Jon, 42, has shared a rare update on his own love life following the end of his marriage.
On Sunday night, Jon hosted a special comedy gig for Absolute Radio in support of The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Charity at the London Palladium.
He was joined by a stellar line-up including Dara O'Briain, Josh Widdicombe and Loose Women's Judi Love.
Judi's stand up routine saw her talk about the challenges of dating over 40.
Her words clearly made an impression on Jon, who said as he returned to the stage: "It makes me think I'm so happy being single."
Later in the show, he also spoke of the joys of no longer having to run the tap while going to the loo in a hotel room now he has it all to himself as a singleton.
But jokes aside, the evening was important to Jon as The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital saved the life of his close friend and fellow funnyman, Matt Forde.
The pair host the popular Down the Dog podcast together, and during the gig, Matt spoke about his cancer battle.
Matt, 42, had the lower part of his spine removed after a tumour was found.

The surgery left him having to learn to walk again and a stoma bag.
He said: "Just over a year ago when I was performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, I got terrible pain in my leg and thought it was the result of a slipped or swollen disc.
"I got an MRI scan and when I got the results of that scan I was diagnosed with cancer and at that point I had no idea how much longer I had left to live."
Thankfully he's made a great recovery and towards the end of the show, both men touched on how thrilled they were to be on stage together again.
