Andy Cohen dubbed Jon Hamm ‘the male Nicole Kidman’ in a playful exchange about the actor’s prolific career in 2024 during CNN’s New Year’s Eve broadcast on Tuesday night.

The broadcast, hosted by Cohen, alongside Anderson Cooper, featured a virtual appearance by the Fargo star, who shared his thoughts on a range of topics, including the breakup of reality stars Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover.

According to Daily Mail, Cohen compared Hamm to Kidman while citing that they both have been very popular in the past year.

In regards to this, Hamm embraced the comparison, responding with humor, “Listen, I’m achieving peak Kidman, I think you called it. I love it. It’s all I can do. I love working. I get to work on great stuff, and yeah, why not me? I vote yes, more me.” Cohen agreed, adding, “Why not? I want more Jon Hamm.”

Moreover, the Mad Men album had a busy 2024, reprising his role as Don Draper in Jerry Seinfeld’s Netflix film Unfrosted, lending his voice to Transformers One, and appearing in the musical adaptation of Mean Girls.

Additionally, Hamm is set to star next in the period drama William Tell, which premieres at the Palm Springs International Film Festival on January 3 and releases in the UK on January 10, as per the outlet.

During the broadcast, Cohen also marked the 10-year anniversary of Mad Men’s finale, prompting Hamm to reflect on the series’ enduring legacy.

In this regard, Hamm stated, “Obviously, it’s the greatest thing I’ve ever done in my career,” while noting how younger audiences continue to discover the show, while adding, “30-year-olds come up to me and say, ‘Oh my God, I love that show.’ I’m like, ‘You were 10 when it came out.’ It’s impressive, and I’m tremendously proud of it," as per the publication's claims.

Furthermore, Cohen later shared behind-the-scenes moments from the night on Instagram, including a late-night snack with Cooper and captioned it as, “Last night was one for the books!”
