Keeping it real.
Bachelor Nation saw Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple fall in love and get engaged on the very first season of “The Golden Bachelorette.”
Since their time on the show, the two have been keeping fans updated on their new life together online, often posting about travel adventures, home projects, and quality time spent with their loved ones.
This week, Chock stopped by Parade for an interview about his relationship with Joan and what the future holds for them.
When asked about wedding planning with his fiancée, Chock revealed why planning their wedding isn’t a priority right now.
He said, “Her son’s getting married in the summer, and then another son is probably going to get engaged, so we’re like, ‘Let’s just put [a wedding] on hold for now. Nick, her oldest, is getting married, and then she’s waiting, but she thinks Luke’s going to get engaged. I think they’ve been looking at rings, so it’s all good.”

Chock shared how Joan feels about it all, saying, “She’s like, ‘I don’t want to compete with my son’s wedding and a lot going on.’ Our schedule is booked through October, so it’s just crazy busy.”
Joan previously shared with the outlet, “Planning a wedding is just not on the schedule right now. It just seems like it would be an overwhelming thing to add to all that we’re already doing.”
And more importantly, the couple has been by each other’s side through it all — family events, media appearances, and more.
Chock shared that he will definitely be by Joan’s side at her son’s wedding, saying, “We’re very much looking forward to it.”
We love these two and their love. We know they will tie the knot when it feels right! For now, enjoy the engagement bubble!
