The Chase fans were less than thrilled as they urged one contestant to 'stop' after noticing her distracting habit.
On the episode of the ITV quiz show that aired on Friday (January 3), host Bradley Walsh, aged 64, was back on our screens with four hopeful contestants aiming for a substantial cash win.
The team, comprising Tom from Oxford, Yasmin from Surrey, Mercedes from Blackpool, and Gary from Wigan, faced off against Jenny Ryan, also known as The Vixen, in a battle of wits.
Yasmin, who was the second to challenge The Vixen, chose to play for a modest £1,000. Despite giving it her all, she failed to outsmart the chaser and was knocked out of the game.
However, it was her constant giggling during the other contestants' questions that really caught the audience's attention, sparking a flurry of comments on social media platforms, reports the Mirror.
One viewer expressed their annoyance on X, formerly Twitter, exclaiming: "Who's giggling now? WHO'S GIGGLING NOW? ! " Another commented: "Bet she ain't giggling now #TheChase."
A frustrated fan posted: "Oh my word, the giggling... Please make it stop #TheChase."
And yet another advised: "Might do better if you listen to the questions rather than stupidly laughing and giggling! ! #TheChase."
Recently, a contestant on the show made history. Audiences were amazed to learn that Margaret, at 92 years old, was the oldest female contestant ever on the show.
Margaret shared that she had resided in Cambridgeshire for the last eight years, but her husband's RAF career had necessitated 33 house moves. She also disclosed that her son Matthew had previously been a contestant on The Chase and had won £25,000, which motivated her to try her luck on the show.
Bradley Walsh expressed his surprise at Margaret's age, highlighting that she was the oldest female participant the show has ever had, and praised her for looking so well for her age.
The Chase airs weekdays from 5pm on ITV and ITVX
