Love Island fans are all saying the same thing about Connor after Megan was dumped from the villa following a public vote
Love Island enthusiasts are in firm agreement over the action one contestant should have taken following a surprise double eviction.
The hit ITV2 dating show continued tonight, Sunday, June 29, with viewers on the edge of their seats after Friday night's cliffhanger episode.
During the sleepover challenge, Remell found himself getting close to newcomer Poppy, even though he had built a rapport with Alima, while original Islanders Megan and Connor decided to explore their budding romance.
Megan's initial coupling with Tommy looked solid until Connor disclosed his feelings towards her.
The previous episode finished with the revelation that spectators had been voting for their least favourite male and female contestants — with Remell and Megan receiving the fewest votes and thus being ejected from the show.
In tonight's instalment, islanders bid a tearful farewell to both Remell and Megan.
Amid the departures, Connor tearfully enquired of Megan, "Will you wait for me?", to which she responded affirmatively, "Yeah, I'll wait for you."
Despite saying goodbye, Connor confides to Ben by the firepit, asserting, "I hand on heart do not think that anyone is going to come through that door that I fancy more than Megan... I look at her like a girlfriend on the outside."
However, despite Connor's avowal of his feelings, he chose to remain in the villa following Megan's exit, prompting viewers to question his commitment.
Someone took to X, the new Twitter, to comment: "Connor so hurt but not hurt enough to leave with her so that's that."
Another fan, reflecting on his commitment, questioned: "Then you should have left with her? Make it make sense."
A third person remarked: "If Connor really liked Megan that much he should just leave with her."
One user expressed disbelief, posting: "Connor crying but he's not leaving with her biggest liar."
Accompanied by a laughing emoji, another viewer tweeted: "Lol Connor didn't even consider going home", while someone else pointed out: "Does Connor know he's allowed to go home with Megan?"
As tensions ease, many are wondering if Connor will leave the villa to be with Megan or if he'll take this opportunity to get to know the remaining Islanders better.
Love Island continues every night at 9pm on ITV2.
