Gorka Marquez has shared a tearful image with fans as he shared an update on his beloved new dog.
Fans were left gushing over the Strictly Come Dancing star's new arrival with fiancée Gemma Atkinson last month. They confirmed they'd welcomed a new puppy into their home following their heartbreaking losses last year.
Those who follow Gemma on social media will be aware that she was devastated at the death of her dogs, Norman and Ollie, within just six months of each other.
It was then as May got underway that Gorka took to social media and posted photos of their new goldendoodle puppy settling into his new home.
He shared alongside the adorable snaps: "Another set of paws New memories to make. So far, today has been the best day of 2025… Welcome to the family Benji Marquez."
Both Gemma and Gorka, who met on Strictly Come Dancing in 2017 before becoming an official couple the following year, have since been sharing updates on their new pooch, much to fans' delight.
However, Hits Radio host Gemma caused concern earlier this week when she revealed she'd been up throughout the early hours with Benji being sick. She explained how she would be making a trip to the vets, worried he may have inhaled some of a plastic brush he was caught with.
The Bury-born star later updated fans, saying the vet wasn't concerned but the bring him back if he still hadn't eaten after another 24 hours. But Gemma, who was away working in London, instructed Gorka to take their new puppy back to be checked over after he didn't improve.
It was then in a new post on Wednesday (June 18) that Gorka confirmed little Benji was needing surgery. Sharing a picture of the gorgeous golden doodle to his Instagram Story, the dancer said: "Many of you messages asking how is Benji doing.
"Unfortunately, he didn't get better, so this AM I had to take him back to the vets and leave him there to do scans and end up having surgery [face holding back tears emoji]."
He added: "He is doing well now and this evening he will be back home with us [red heart emoji]."
Gorka then followed-up the post with a picture he took of himself in the car, with tears filling his eyes and slipping down his face. "It beaks my hear seeing him like that and to leave him there..." Gorka wrote alongside the post.
But he tried to cheer himself up by heading out with his son, Thiago, as alongside a video he wrote: "At least this lttle man made me smile all morning [red heart emoji]."
