DAVID TENNANT has revealed he once nearly hosted an episode of Strictly.
Producers of the BBC One show wanted the former Doctor Who actor to stand in for late telly legend Bruce Forsyth as presenter.

He told the Where There’s A Will There’s A Wake podcast: “I got a phone call from my agent, very unusual on a Saturday, going, ‘What are you doing tonight? Bruce had a little fall, he can’t do Strictly tonight, are you free to present the show?’.
“I sort of ran around for a couple of hours going, ‘Do I want to present Strictly?’.
“By the time we’d figured out I probably could go to the TV centre, I phoned back, and they went, ‘Don’t worry, Ronnie Corbett is doing it’.
“I don’t know if I’d have been any good. I don’t watch Strictly so I wouldn’t have known what I was talking about.”
You snooze you lose, David.
Last month, Tennant confirmed for the first time that he was born with a rare genetic disorder.
The 53-year-old actor opened up on the condition after speculation from fans started circulating online.
In particular, a group of die hard fans on Reddit had grown to believe that he had an extra toe on one of his feet.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk, David confirmed that he did, in fact, have six toes on his right foot, explaining it was “sort of like a nubbin”.
When asked if people knew that, he joked back: “Well, they do now.”
