Kevin Wendt Discusses Helping His Son Adjust to Wearing Glasses: ‘August’s New Look’ tram

A new chapter! 

Bachelor Nation fans saw Astrid Loch Wendt and Kevin Wendt meet and fall in love on Season 5 of “Bachelor in Paradise.” 

Since then, the couple moved to Canada, tied the knot, and welcomed their first child, August, together in 2021 and their second child, Nash, last year.

This week, Kevin took to Instagram to share that he and Astrid recently discovered that August has poor vision and now needs to wear glasses. 

The Bachelor Nation star opened up online about how it felt to have made that discovery, and what he and Astrid have been doing to help their son adjust to his “new look.”

Alongside a sweet photo of August sitting in his dad’s lap, Kevin wrote, “August’s new look 🤍It was so disheartening as a parent hearing from the specialist that Auggy has pretty poor vision and has been struggling to see this whole time.”

However, Kevin then shared that August has not only embraced his new look but also loves wearing his glasses now. 

He said, “At the same time, nothing can beat the feeling the last 5 days, where August has not only worn his glasses, he actually reaches and asks for them. And he’s been in a great mood ever since. Man, I love this kid.”

Kevin ended his post by sharing the sweet way he and Astrid have supported their son and posted a cute photo of August being hugged by Astrid. 

He wrote, “Astrid and I both wore our blue light glasses around the house for 2 weeks before getting his, so he knew only the coolest kids like mommy and daddy wear glasses.” 

Followers loved the post and filled Kevin’s comments with words of love and support. 

One person said, “I’ve worn glasses since 3rd grade and contacts/glasses since 8th grade, and I am now 63. Tell that precious little guy that his blue glasses are way cooler than my pink cat eye glasses were in 3rd grade. 💙🫶”

Another person added, “He looks so adorable. And happy!”

And the brand Vessi’s official account commented, “Looking like a superhero, August!!”

So sweet! 

We love how Kevin and Astrid supported August, and are obsessed with his new glasses. We love seeing their family so happy!
