Haley Pullos finished up her three-month sentencing and was released from prison.
The General Hospital star served her time for a DUI after pleading no contest in April. After her release, she is still required to continue paying penance for the crime with orders to complete 200 hours of community service while staying under a five-year probation. Additionally, Judge Terry Smerling ordered her to pay $8,000 to the victim of the crash.
The soap opera star was booked after heading the wrong way up a freeway while drunk and high. The actress then crashed into another vehicle, injuring the driver. As a result, she was stripped of her license and ordered to complete a nine-month alcohol education program, alongside mental health education.
The judge was very clear on his order, leaving her with a warning — not to drink and drive again. He said: "God forbid you cause an accident in the future and somebody dies, you will be charged with murder."
He did give her a little leeway among the crack down on her life. Judge Smerling approved a request, allowing her to leave the country for a trip with her family, something that requires approval for those on probation.
While the criminal proceedings have now finished, the victim is also seeking additional damages in civil court. She made some hefty accusations about Haley's behavior on the scene. In court documents obtained by the Daily Mail, she said: "Haley Pullos acted maliciously and without any regard for the safety of others, as evidenced by her rage when she was pulled from her vehicle by first responders ... She acted maliciously by attacking the officers and yelling profanities in front of witnesses and directed toward those who were trying to help her."
Haley played Molly Lansing-Davis on General Hospital, starting as just a child actress at age 11. The now 26-year-old was dropped from the soap opera one month after the incident.
