FANS of General Hospital have shared their true thoughts on the death of a major character.

On the May 21 episode of the iconic soap opera, viewers said goodbye to Gregory Chase.

The character, first played by James Read from June 6 to October 10, 2018, was the father of Dr. Hamilton Fin and Detective Harrison Chase.

Later on, the actor who played Gregory was replaced by Gregory Harrison, who has portrayed the character since 2020.

During his final appearance, Gregory died in his sleep of heart failure caused by ALS.

During a heartbreaking scene, Gregory's son, Hamilton went to see his father, unaware of his passing.

Hamilton kneeled by his father to search for a pulse, but couldn't find it.

On Wednesday, General Hospital aired the character's funeral, which took over most of the episode

Due to this, fans weren't too thrilled.

'SO WRONG!'

On X, formerly Twitter, viewers shared their outrage about the character getting a lot of screen time.

"This show really acting like Gregory has been on this show for over 30 years and is a legacy character," one fan joked.

A second said, "It is insulting AF and annoying."
