General Hospital alum Michael Easton shares alternate ending after opening up about sudden exit hangg

After beloved General Hospital star Michael Easton's emotional exit from the ABC soap, he has shared his idea of a happily ever after for his character Hamilton Finn.

After Finn's dramatic goodbye from the General Hospital, Easton took to social media sharing what he believes would've been the perfect outcome for Finn and his father Gregory Chase in an alternate universe. On the soap, Finn's dad Gregory, played by actor Gregory Harrison, tragically passed away in his sleep after suffering from a nervous system disease known as ALS.

After the family tragedy, Finn struggled with an alcohol addiction as he grieved the loss of his loved one. After hitting rock bottom, Finn decided to check himself into rehab indefinitely concluding Easton's legendary run on the soap after 10 years.

Following his goodbye from General Hospital, Easton caught up with his long-time friend and former co-star Gregory. During their reunion, the pair snapped a selfie and shared the post with his fans. The 57-year-old actor captioned the reunion post: "Love catching up with my friend Greg Harrison. I’d like to think that in some alternative universe Gregory and Finn are alive and well and eating pancakes in some diner somewhere.”

General Hospital fans took to the comments of the post sharing an outpour of love for the actors and the fan favorite characters they played on the soap. One fan wrote: "I absolutely loved the relationship that Finn and Gregory came to have. You both are amazingly talented."

And another added: "one of my favorite onscreen father/son duos! You're both so missed!" And another sweetly complimented: "I miss yall but just be thankful you don't have to color your hair anymore....I think yall both have gotten more handsome since leaving...if that is even possible...... prayers for greater things ahead."

Easton's post comes as the actor abruptly left General Hospital last month - a decision that was later revealed to not be of his own doing. According to reports by sportskeeda, the reason behind his sudden exit was because his character was written off the soap as the writing team felt it was the end of the line for his character's storyline. Following his departure, Easton admitted that it was a very "raw" and "very draining" final days of filming as he said his goodbyes to his long-time friends and fellow co-stars.
