Gemma Collins has revealed she is taking weight loss injections to shed the pounds, as she admitted she felt 'a massive weight’s been lifted off my shoulders'.

The former TOWIE star, 43, took to her Instagram to announce the 'secret' behind her smaller figure, as she revealed she had already dropped two sizes.

She admitted the medication had been 'life-changing' as she got candid about struggling with 'upset, stress and turmoil' with trying to lose weight.

Gemma dazzled in the video as she showed off her noticeably slimmed down frame in a stylish animal print dress and sported a full face of glamorous makeup.

Addressing her fans, she revealed she was doing a paid partnership with brand Yazen, which prescribes GLP-1 weight loss injections.

She said she'd made the decision after trying 'every diet my whole life' and admitted she already felt 'healthier and happier'.

The reality star confessed she'd been 'bullied and tortured' about her weight over the years and said that she was going to 'finally be free'.

In her typical GC style, Gemma quipped she would soon be looking like a Victoria's Secret Model and joked that she would be living on the beach.

She said: 'This has been life-changing for me. I am going to look like a Victoria's Secret model. But not only that, I feel healthier, I feel happier.

'I'm really looking forward to this year, I may finally be able to wear a bikini again.'

Explaining the process of the brand and the options their offer, Gemma admitted went: 'This was a big thing for me to come on here because I just wanted to share with you my journey. I've been bullied and tortured all my life for being overweight.

'I can't tell you how good I feel right now. I feel like a massive weight’s been lifted off my shoulders.

'This if for anyone who the struggle is real. Only if you’re overweight do you know the struggle, you know the downfalls, you know what you go through.'

She finished the video by recommending her 2.2million followers give the jabs a go themselves and voiced her excitement for the year to come.

She said: 'You're gonna see me on a beach for the rest of my life. I will finally be free. I will finally be able to live my best life and just be free from all that upset and stress and turmoil that comes with constantly trying to lose excess weight.'

While her fans appeared to be shocked by Gemma's revelation, a source claimed to OK! that she had done lots of research about the risks of the medication and saw it as necessary for her health and well-being.

They said: 'Gemma’s tried almost every diet going and nothing has ever really worked for her, but she’s always said she wants to be healthy.

'She isn’t just focused on how she looks, this is about her wanting to be as healthy as possible and feel confident.'

The insider added: 'She’s done all her research and she’s doing it properly with people around her who know what they’re talking about.

'Issues come up for some people when they’re not taking the injections with the right guidance and expert help, but Gemma’s doing it all properly and she’s given it a lot of thought.

'She’s still absolutely all about body positivity and embracing her body, there’s no change in that, but she wants to be healthy as well.'

Last year, she told MailOnline: 'People have bullied me about my weight, they bullied me about it so badly for years and it's like, I can't help it, I am active...

'But now I don't need to do vigorous exercise, this is the first diet where you're adding and not subtracting.'

In the summer, Gemma explained her fears about the practicalities of being a mother whilst being heavier and told how she wants to be the 'best version of herself' if she has children with her fiancé Rami Hawash.

Speaking to OK! in June, she explained: 'Nothing against overweight mums at all, but I want to run and play with my kid.

'I want to have as much energy for my child as possible and to be the best version of myself for my child.'

On her fertility struggles, Gemma added: 'I always find with me nothing has ever come easy. I've always been that one that's got the struggle to bloody get there!

'It's the same with my fertility and I share it because so many people reach out who are going through the same thing.'

Gemma has suffered from polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) since she was 28 years old - which is when she started to gain weight.

PCOS is a common condition that affects how a woman's ovaries work. It can mean a woman has difficulty getting pregnant as a result of irregular ovulation or no ovulation.

Gemma has been open about past fertility struggles and has previously suffered three miscarriages.

She suffered her first heartbreaking loss in 2012, finding the strength to speak out about it publicly eight years later in 2020.

The reality star did not realise she was pregnant at the time, said that the baby 'died in front of her' after giving birth at home on her landing.

Gemma suffered her second pregnancy loss in 2020 during the Covid pandemic and tragically, just a few months later, Gemma endured a third devastating miscarriage in July 2020 after falling pregnant with her ex-boyfriend James Argent's baby.
