Comedian Gearoid Farrelly with his Pro Dance Partner Stephen Vincent during Dancing with the Stars' Orchestra Week

Gearoid Farrelly had to say thank you for the music as he became the fifth celebrity to be eliminated from Dancing with the Stars tonight, as Orchestra Night drew to a close.

The comedian and their pro partner Stephen Vincent's performance wasn't enough to impress and the judges and the public at home as they were sent home.

In a special episode, the RTÉ Concert Orchestra performed live in studio as each couple pulled out all the stops to stay in the competition. Conducted by Music Director Gavin Murphy, they were joined by Susan McFadden and Ashton Jones on live vocals.

The show opened in spectacular style as the celebrity and pro dancers stormed the dancefloor to El Medley by Café Latino and Ricky Martin.

Kayleigh Trappe then took to the ballroom and took on a character as she performed a Charleston to Lady Gaga’s version of That’s Entertainment alongside her pro dance partner Ervinas Merfeldas. Kicking things off, they scored 32.

Loraine Barry said: "You had us all guessing with the slow and dramatic opening. It turned into a fun filled Charleston. I was at the edge of my seat. You nailed it -what an opening."

Karen Byrne added: "I am obsessed with this whole look. The swivels were absolutely brilliant. Overall, I think Charleston is all about character and you got into it. You did a great job."

Next up, Mrs. Brown’s Boys actor, Danny O’Carroll and pro partner Salome Chachua brought the heat to the show with a steamy Salsa to Lionel Richie hit song All Night Long. They scored 33.

Arthur Gourounlian said: "You guys looked like you were living your best lives in a club in Cuba. It was dynamic and infectious."

Karen Byrne added: "I love the whole look. It looked like you took a relaxed approach and it looked easy - and we know it is not easy. It looked great."

Chef Kevin Dundon and Rebecca Scott tried to cast a spell on the judges with a magical Foxtrot to Livin’ Thing by Electric Light Orchestra. His wand may have been wonky, but he scores a 24.

Brian said: "There was one section that was a little One Man Band than RTÉ Concert Orchestra. You brought a lot of fun to the Foxtrot and you should be commended for that.

Loraine added: "You had some magical moments. I like you in frame and in hold, and I want more of that."

After getting the first perfect score of the season last week with a total of 40, Taekwondo athlete Jack Woolley and his partner Alex Vladimirov took on a fiery Samba to the Ricky Martin hit The Cup of Life. Once again, they were a hit with the judges and scored 37.

Karen said: "You brought the sass to samba. It was looking at two pros on the floor. It was brilliant."

Loraine added: "Thank you for taking us out of the wet and windy Ireland and bringing us to Rio De Janeiro. It was so vibrant and you had so much energy."

Olympic Gold Medal Gymnast Rhys Mc Clenaghan with his Pro Dance Partner Laura Nolan during Dancing with the Stars' Orchestra Week

After two stints in the dance-off over the last couple of weeks, Aishah Akorede and her dance partner Robert Rowiński slowed things down with a demure American Smooth to Vanessa Carlton’s A Thousand Miles. They got a total of 36.

Loraine said: "That was absolutely beautiful. It was true American Smooth. You had the posture and poise in that. It was absolutely and simply divine."

Arthur added: "You have this beautiful zest about you. Your lifts were mesmerizing and the transitions were seamless. It was the ballroom performance of the season."

Olympic gold medallist Rhys McClenaghan and his pro partner Laura Nolan showed off their athleticism and agility with a Contemporary Ballroom to The Verve anthem, Bittersweet Symphony. They got a near perfect 39.

Karen said: "What a song to get to dance to. You didn't disappoint. It was as smooth as butter."

Loraine: "This was a powerful piece of music and that added pressure to you. What you did with leaps and lifts, I thought it was truly sublime."

Finally, comedian Gearóid Farrelly and his pro partner Stephen Vincent danced an energetic Charleston to Emeli Sandé and The Bryan Ferry Orchestra’s version of Beyoncé’s Crazy in Love, scoring 33.

Karen said: "From the get go, it was a real cute take on the Charleston. You handled the props brilliantly. It was one of your best dances, you should be very proud."

Arthur added: "It was so playful with a real sense of fun. You shined tonight."

To close tonight’s show, the Dancing with the Stars professional dancers performed a flowing number to Yesterday by The Beatles.
