Frankie Bridge Reacts Uneasily to Rumors About Joining Real Housewives of London on ITV’s Loose Women trucc

Loose Women star Frankie Bridge was left squirming over rumours she was set to appear in the upcoming reality TV series The Real Housewives of London

Loose Women panellist Frankie Bridge was left a tad red-faced when her fellow presenter Kaye Adams grilled her about whispers of joining a reality series.

Just this week, the line-up for the upcoming The Real Housewives of London were unveiled.

The six stars taking part were confirmed to be Ladies of London alum Juliet Angus, model Amanda Cronin, Real Housewives of Jersey's Karen Loderick-Peace, former beauty pageant queen Juliet Mayhew, socialite Pantha Parker and businesswoman Nessie Welschinger.

Yet, Kaye expressed surprise at Frankie's absence from the lineup, probing: "The one person that is missing there that I was expecting Frankie, because I saw reports that you were going to be in it?"

"Me? Absolutely not," Frankie retorted. "That never made its way into my email inbox."

Kaye pressed on, asking: "So that was never a thing?"

Frankie, asked about any interest in the show, hesitated: "No, not particularly."

The audience sniggered as Frankie fumbled to explain her lack of enthusiasm for the opportunity.

"I um... I don't know if I fit the brief... I don't think... those shows are always...," she faltered, conceding she couldn't succinctly answer.

Loose Women's Sunetra Sarker lauded her tact, remarking: "I applaud your diplomacy."

Frankie went on, reflecting on the potential for conflict: "I think they fight a lot on them, so I wouldn't like the confrontation, but yeah I think the connotation of the housewife bit gets me a bit, because I'm not.

"And for me, there's nothing wrong with actually being a housewife, in a similar way of when I first met Wayne I was called a WAG, I was like, yes the word is not offensive but we all know that the connotation behind it is."

The cameras started rolling for The Real Housewives of London in March, "with these six bold, dynamic and successful socialites showcasing the luxury of living in the U.K.'s iconic capital," according to the tantalising official announcement.

It elaborated: "Whether hosting lavish dinners, escaping to a Scottish castle, or rebuilding bonds over bottles of champagne, they're all navigating life, legacy and loyalty.

"With big personalities, deep histories and no shortage of designer drama, " it added, "the path to connection is never simple - but it's always captivating.

"London's calling...and these six ladies have answered."

Loose Women airs weekdays from 12.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
