Strictly Come Dancing star JB Gill revealed something he does at the beginning of each show before taking to the dance floor
On Wednesday's instalment of Loose Women, panellists Coleen Nolan, Charlene White, Brenda Edwards and Judi Love spoke to JB Gill and Lauren Oakley about their new partnership.
It comes after his initial partner, Amy Dowden, had to withdraw from the competition following an injury.
During their first TV debut in their new partnership, JB touched on something he does before each live show, which his wife has told him to stop.
Judi commented: "Your wife is a dancer, you have a special ritual that you do before you go on?"
Cutting in, Charlene jokingly asked if this ritual was appropriate for daytime TV, prompting laughter from JB who confirmed it was safe to say.
He said: "As I come down the stairs to do my walk down, I always try and look for her in the audience. She always says to me 'Don't do that because if I'm not sat in that place, you'll be like this (shakes head) the whole time!'
"I did it as a kid! I always used to look for my mum or my dad or someone on the sidelines. I think it's just a habit that's died hard, usually, I find her pretty quickly then it erases all the nerves."
Curious, Judi asked what his wife initially thought when he was asked to take part in the BBC show.
Admitting she was excited, JB told the Loose Women stars that taking part in Strictly Come Dancing was something he'd wanted to do over the years.
Last weekend, JB and Lauren took to the dancefloor for a Bruno Mars medley for Icons Week, earning them an impressive 39.
Although they seem to be a formidable force going toward, they spoke about Lauren taking over from Amy.
He said: "It's one of those things, of course, no one would've ever wished for an outcome like that, but the show must go on and you have to deal with it. The most important thing for us is that Amy gets better and gets time to rest."
Addressing the switch-up, Lauren confessed they're having to get used to one another as her proportions are different to Amy's.
She added: "It's also about getting used to the teaching style that I use and trying to understand how JB listens and understands things in the training room."
This weekend, JB Gill and Lauren Oakley will be doing a Samba to the song Mas Que Nada by Sergio Mendes.
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday 9th November on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 6.35pm.
Loose Women continues weekdays on ITV from 12:30pm
