Emmerdale's Lawrence Robb shared his opinions on the rumours surrounding his speculated exit from the soap.

Now married to Charity, the couple have found themselves struggling recently after Charity decided to be Sarah Sugden's surrogate.

On top of that, Mack's exit has been rumoured in upcoming episodes, but this is yet to be confirmed by Emmerdale.

A source told Metro: "The John [Sugden] story has so many twists and turns to come and this will come as a genuine surprise to fans.

"Mack has survived quite a lot over the years but his time is well and truly up this time.

"What his exit does is set the stage for an exciting next stage to John’s saga later in the autumn that will leave fans quite literally on edge."

Appearing on Loose Women during Wednesday's instalment, Lawrence sat down with Christine Lampard, Coleen Nolan, Denise Welch and Jane Moore to discuss the rumours.

When asked about the "exit", he responded: "Rumours they shall remain".

He continued: "I've always said being in the show I never want to be too prescriptive with it. I've always enjoyed doing what I'm doing and ultimately if and when it's time for Mack to leave, whether it's mine or the producers choice, I'll be thankful for the time that I've had."

The actor then joked that Emmerdale is "the most dangerous village in the country" and when it comes to future storylines, he teased: "There's a lot of stuff coming, I've really enjoyed filming it."

With a lot of speculation stating that if he did leave the Dales it would be down to John Sugden, Lawrence previously shared his thoughts on actor Oliver Farnworth.

He admitted: "Oh, he's great. What a lovely boy. I've said that several times. I phoned him a couple of weeks ago, just to say how I thought he was doing such a great job, because, you know, playing a psycho like that - it is not easy.

"And I do think he's doing a great job. And he is just the most loveliest man. It is surreal working with someone in such a relative close proximity for a while, and to really get to know them better and to just have a laugh with them, but then then do some not very nice scenes."

Emmerdale airs on weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
