Devin Haney’s Lackluster “Victory”: Outpointing Ramirez In A Snooze-Fest That Angered Fans trucc

Devin Haney (32-0, 15 KOs) failed to impress with his wide 12-round unanimous decision win over Jose Ramirez (32-3, 18 KOs) in their fight on Saturday night on the Fatal Fury card at Times Square in New York City. The scores were 119-109, 119-109, and 118-110.

Haney loved all night, throwing a few shots and tying up the slow Ramire when he’d get close. There was almost no action because Devin wasn’t going to stand and fight. With Ramirez, he’s the type that needs a stationary opponent for him to land. Haney was too shell-shocked to oblige him.

Haney came into the fight needing a win to lock himself in for a lucrative rematch with Ryan Garcia in October. He did his part with his win over Ramirez, but Turki Alalshikh needs to reconsider his plans to do that. If Devin is going to fight like he did tonight, it’ll anger fans.
