Former Love Island star Chris Hughes has landed a new job on ITV's This Morning, just days after he came in sixth place on Celebrity Big Brother
Less than a week after leaving the Celebrity Big Brother house, Chris Hughes has landed himself a new gig on ITV's This Morning. The Love Island alum made his debut as a competition presenter during the show's latest episode, where he was all smiles, broadcasting live from the sunny beaches of Western Super Mare, mingling with locals as he kicked off the 'Dosh On Our Doorstep' competition.
The show sees the This Morning crew travelling up and down the country, ready to dish out cash right on viewers' doorsteps. Overwhelmed with excitement, the 32 year old declared, "I've gone from the sofa to the sea and we are here in the amazing Western Super Mare. It's the return of Dosh On Our Doorstep and we'll be giving away some money. I can't wait for this one!"
Even though audiences denied his playful offer to showcase his rapping skills—an adorable nod to an iconic Love Island moment—Chris remained upbeat.
Eager to share his new venture, Chris took to Instagram, posting a snapshot featuring the beach and his cue card, enthusiastically writing: "Dosh On Our Doorstep has returned and we are at Western Super Mare! Come say hello!".
His exciting announcement follows am appearance on the This Morning couch with JoJo Siwa and presenters Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley, following the wrap of Celebrity Big Brother.
After leaving the house, it emerged that JoJo had split from her partner Kath Ebbs. The news followed speculation about her close relationship with Chris on the show, leading fans to wonder if there was more than friendship between them.
Ben didn't shy away from grilling them about their relationship status, where they confessed to being "platonic soulmates". "So it's platonic right now, but would you like it to be romantic JoJo? He's a gorgeous boy," Ben probed.
"Erm, look. He is a great guy," JoJo cautiously responded. "It is platonic. We have a lot of fun together. Life is life and I don't know any future of anything. But I'm really grateful for our dynamic and our bond that we have and whatever life does, life will do."
