Dancing with the Stars Judge Loraine Barry to miss show after death of her mother.
The judge announced the sad passing of her “much-adored mam” earlier this week and will take time off to grieve.
On Sunday’s episode, judges Karen Byrne, Arthur Gourounlian, and Brian Redmond will appear on the panel.
In an Instagram story, Dancing With The Stars said: “RTÉ, Shinawil and all the cast and crew of Dancing With The Stars would like to extend their deepest sympathies to Loraine and her family on the passing of Loraine’s much adored Mam. May she in peace.”
“In light of this sad news Loraine will not appear on the show tomorrow night. Brian, Arthur and Karen will judge the remaining ten contestants’ performances for Movie Week.”
The TV judge shared a picture of her mother with a dove fluttering in the backdrop.
“Our beautiful Mammy passed away this morning at 10.30am,” she told her followers.
In the caption, she wrote: “A mother’s love is like no other…”
Loraine has previously discussed the relationship she shared with her cherished mother.
Loraine told RSVP magazine: “I do a little bit of Botox in my forehead because I am so expressive. And I can actually tell you where that came from – my mother.”
Loraine confessed her mother would tell her to “stop frowning on the television.”
To which she would respond: “Mammy, I’m not frowning, that’s me, my natural expressions lines.”
