Craig & Austen Reveal “Weird” Unseen "Tension" with Shep’s Girlfriend Sienna: “So Awkward” tram

Craig Conover and Austen Kroll weren't necessarily charmed by Shep Rose's girlfriend, Sienna Evans, when they went to visit her in the Bahamas during Season 10, Episode 10 of Southern Charm. On the Southern Charm After Show, they shared why.

"We go to the Bahamas under the impression that Shep and this girl are very serious — like exclusive and dating. That's how he's making it sound,” Craig began. “And so I'm all excited to meet this girl that Shep likes, but then it kind of — when he said they had only seen each other six times — I was like, ‘OK, I feel very misled. I feel very, very misled."

Still, he wanted to meet her. "Austen, Shep, and I — we had the champagne ready," Craig added.

However, "When she got there, there was so much tension in the room," Austen noted.

“She walks in the room and it just was not … unfortunately, I knew instantly that it was disingenuous,” Craig continued. “I could just tell that there was zero connection or energy or chemistry between her and Shep. She wasn't there because she liked Shep."

Thus, he immediately tried to get Austen to leave the room with him by making up the need to check on their dinner reservations. When the boys got in the hall, they began to discuss the situation. As Craig recalled, "I was like, ‘Austen, that was weird. That whole thing was weird.’"

“It wasn't that she was a bad person, it was just that she was not into Shep and it felt so awkward to be there," Craig concluded.

Shep also shed new light on the awkward interaction with Sienna on the Southern Charm After Show.

“A week before the trip, she called me and was like, ‘We should really have a conversation.’ I was like, ‘I agree, but we're gonna have it on camera. This is my life, this is what I do. You knew that. You came on TV, you were cool with that,'" Shep recalled. "And the audience — I respect them and I want them to see the real, honest, raw things that go down. The way I do that is to be completely honest and open and not hide or obfuscate things."

In another Southern Charm After Show clip, Shep further reflected on his time in the Bahamas with Sienna. “This is my life, and this is my soul or whatever you wanna call it. And I was just like, ‘You're playing games here. Like, I should be driving this bus," he explained. "I’m not trying to rock the boat. I understand that there's trouble in paradise — no pun intended — and I got quite angry about it."

There's still more to come for the former couple, though. Stay tuned to see how things shake out in the Bahamas. And, in the meantime, find out what led to Shep and Sienna's split.
