Coleen Nolan of Loose Women Expresses Worries About Her Future on the ITV Show trucc

Coleen Nolan, 59, has been a regular fixture on Loose Women for the past 24 years and has opened up about her fears for the future and her career

Coleen Nolan has expressed her fears that her career on Loose Women could be in jeopardy.

During a discussion with Monday's (October 28) panel members, including Ruth Langsford, GK Barry and Myleene Klass, the 59-year-old voiced her concerns about technology - specifically AI taking over "everyone's jobs" and her apprehension about what the future holds.

The conversation was initiated by host Ruth, who revealed that the late Michael Parkinson, who passed away in 2023, would be resurrected through AI advancements to conduct a series of new celebrity interviews.

While both Ruth and Coleen were thrilled at the prospect of seeing Michael back on our screens, The Nolans singer couldn't hide her "terror" about the implications of new technologies for the industry.

She stated: "AI frightening the life out of me, all very well and we're all excited, until nobody has a job anymore because AI is doing all of it," reports the Mirror.

She continued: "It's already happening in supermarkets where you can now self-serve, I know that's not AI but they're still getting rid of staff because we can do it all ourselves."

Later in the same discussion, Coleen further expressed her anxiety to Ruth, saying: "It's not your job, wait until four AIs are sitting here."

As Loose Women recently celebrated its 25th anniversary, with Coleen joining the team just a year later, the singer discussed the possibility of leaving her role after more than two decades with the show.

Coleen has made it clear that she has no intention of leaving the show, which she regards as a "constant" in her life for an impressive span.

Reflecting on her time with Loose Women, she revealed: "I'll be with Loose Women as long as they want me, or as long as it is on air, because I love it and I'd really miss it. It's kind of been the constant thing in my life for 24 years."

In a heartfelt interview with Woman's Own, Coleen expressed her deep connection to the show: "More than anything else, Loose Women has been the constant - so why would I want to give that up?"

Throughout various personal challenges, including divorce, motherhood, and mourning the loss of her sister Bernie to cancer, Coleen has found solace and support among her fellow presenters and has candidly shared these experiences with the ITV audience.

In a more recent update, Coleen spoke about her sister Linda's ongoing fight against breast cancer, telling her colleagues: "Linda doesn't want to know how long she's got because it's like counting down the days for how long she'd got left."

Coleen, visibly moved, discussed this approach to living after the panel addressed the sad news that Olympian Sir Chris Hoy had received a terminal cancer diagnosis.
