Christine Lampard forced to apologise as Linda Robson brazenly swears live on Lorraine - and admits 'producers are always in my ear!' ngocc

Christine Lampard was forced to apologise on Friday's episode of Lorraine, after Linda Robson brazenly let a swear word slip during the show.

The 66-year-old Loose Women star was chatting to her pal and co-star Christine, 45,  who was hosting the ITV show in Lorraine Kelly's absence.

Discussing her career and the wide range of projects she has been involved in, Linda admitted that one show she has never graced properly but would love to have a 'cameo' in is EastEnders.

She recalled: 'I did do one wartime one years and years ago called CivvyStreet. I played Lou Beale's sister Flo Beale but I have hinted a few times... even a little cameo role on there or whatever.'

The suddenly, the Loose Women legend declared: 'But I'd like to be a real b****'.

Speechless, host Christine erupted into shocked laughter as Linda seemingly didn't even notice her blunder and continued: 'I want someone really nasty cause I always get nice parts and I'd like to go against the grain really.'

Christine interrupted to point out her error:  'You know, it's a funny thing really because I thought to myself, she knows it's early morning, she's now allowed to swear today, she won't do it for me.

'And then she's let a little one slip so I'm sorry if anyone doesn't like that word.'

Confused, Linda asked: 'What the b word?,' to which the TV personality joked: 'Yeah - don't say any other form of those words.'

The Lorraine host told viewers: 'This is a daily occurrence on Loose Women isn't it, where we say 'Linda, don't swear,' don't we?'

'Yeah, you do,' Linda sheepishly admitted, 'Nicky [a producer] is in my ear all the time telling me not to swear. I don't know why I swear because my mum is catholic Irish, she never swore. I don't know why I've got a potty mouth.

Christine then remarked: 'It's all those years of Birds Of A Feather - you can't help it.'

Christine has stepped in to front the breakfast programme over the summer, alongside other guest hosts such as Ranvir Singh and Louise Minchin , while Lorraine Kelly takes an extended holiday.

And fans are delighted with the hosting shake-up, so much so that they want the show to be renamed 'Christine' while the Irish presenter is on our screens.

According to the viral 'Where Is Lorraine?' X (formerly Twitter) account, Lorraine, 64, has hosted 99 episodes out of 150 (66%) this year, meanwhile Christine, 45, has hosted 29 episodes.

Ranvir Singh has reportedly fronted 18, and Louise Minchin and Joel Dommett have both hosted two.

Keen viewers of the ITV programme  flocked to social media to gush over Christine's 'honest' presenting skills, with others claiming the programme needs a rebrand:

'It should be renamed Ranvir or Christine for Fridays, with both having their own titles #Lorraine.'
