Christine Lampard announces unexpected career move away from TV trucc

"It's not going to be like Loose Women, that's for sure."

Loose Women star Christine Lampard has announced a new career away from TV.

The presenter, who is married to former footballer Frank Lampard, will be teaming up with football pundit Kelly Cates and sports presenter Hayley McQueen for a new football podcast.

The Sky Sports podcast Not Just Football is set to launch on October 8 and will showcase an all-female format. The weekly show will see the hosts react to some of the biggest news in the football world, and will feature exclusive interviews from within the industry.

"What we're looking for is something from the weekend's football that isn't necessarily being covered elsewhere," Cates told MailOnline. "There are so many football podcasts and trying to find something that isn't done is really tricky."

"So it's not about analysis. It's not necessarily about a deep dive into the tactics of the North London Derby or whatever, but it's about the stories around it more than that."

According to the Sky Sports host, the presenting trio will open up about their own private lives on the podcast.

"We've all gone through very different things in life, and I think we'll be speaking quite openly about some of the challenges that we faced in our personal lives, and in our careers," she shared.

"We're not going to be there as three women pretending. It's not going to be like Loose Women, that's for sure."

Cates explained that the show will be "very, very different" to the Stick to Football podcast, hosted by Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher, Jill Scott, Ian Wright and Roy Keane; as neither she, McQueen or Lampard have played the sport.

However, she added: "We've all been influenced by the game in different ways."

Loose Women airs on weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
