CHRIS Hughes' brother Ben has broken his silence on the shock row between the star and Mickey Rourke which saw the Hollywood legend booted out of the house.

The TV star's older brother spoke to Christine Lampard live on ITV's Lorraine where he discussed Chris' time in the house and lifted the lid on the almighty row he had with acting superstar Mickey, 72.

Ben defended Mickey on Lorraine

Mickey was axed from the show after an incident which saw him square up to Chris and repeatedly brand him a "c***" in a moment that show bosses deemed to be "threatening, unacceptable and offensive".

Now, Ben has suggested he holds no grudge against Mickey for the shocking incident with his brother and even defended his behaviour as part of the task.

Speaking live on ITV this morning, Ben said: "I think Chris got into character a little bit too well as a pirate, as did Mickey.

"I think there was nothing too untoward there - just two lads getting a bit heated."

Christine then quipped that Mickey could have "forgot" where he was in the moment to which Ben defiantly replied: "He forgot exactly where he was!"

In the fiery row, Hollywood actor Mickey was furious after being thrown the side eye by Chris who instantly hit back: “Mickey it was a joke, f***ing…”

Mickey then cut in, telling the Love Island star aggressively: “Don’t f***ing eyeball me. You c***.”

Housemates try to diffuse the situation, as Danny insisted: “He was joking. He was joking. He was joking.”

Chris then told Mickey to “f***ing stand there” before Danny and Daley got between the pair.

Big Brother then intervened, saying: “This is Big Brother. Mickey, come to the diary room immediately.”

Mickey Rourke's Celebrity Big Brother pay cheque revealed after bosses SLASH fee

The Sun previously told how ITV bosses have slashed Mickey's £500,000 show fee after he repeatedly caused chaos in the house.

A source said: “Mickey won’t be receiving all his money from ITV.

“If a celebrity gets removed from the house, they don't get the full fee. It’s as simple as that and they will be discussing that with him.

“Mickey was ready to leave the house and it ended up feeling like a mutual decision between him and ITV in the end. It was getting too much."
