Chris Bassett is calling out the “bulls**t” after speaking with Ray Huger at a recent party on Real Housewives of Potomac. During the event, which took place at Chris’ house, Ray suggested he apologize to Gizelle Bryant, who felt uncomfortable by a one-on-one talk with Chris in Gizelle’s hotel room.
Chris indicated there was no need to apologize and that doing so would suggest guilt. After the episode aired, castmate Karen Huger defended her husband on Watch What Happens Live, and she hinted that Chris could put the issue to bed if he simply apologized for giving Gizelle the wrong impression.
After the interview, Chris took to Twitter and clapped back at the assertion that he and his wife Candiace Dillard Bassett were elongating the issue.
“Y’all want to keep saying candiace and [I] are dragging this out…” wrote Chris on December 12. He then threw shade at Ray.
“I was in MY house, enjoying MY WIFES party and got ambushed by Ray,” he said. “Damn right [I] was pissed off … this was a party for my wife.”
Ending the post, Chris called out the “bulls**t” of it all.
During the WWHL interview, Karen stated, “I have to side [with] Ray. He’s my husband. He went out on the limb, just trying to be an example [to Chris] of taking the lead, being the bigger person in this group.”
“This isn’t moving anywhere so he wanted Chris to possibly understand apologizing for her taking it the wrong way and that was it,” said the self-described Grande Dame. “No guilt implied. Just for her feelings.”
