Many wedding parties include a flower girl, but Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke planned to have not one, not two, but three flower boys in theirs.

On the April 4 episode of Summer House, Carl, 39, asked Kyle, 41, at their racing party to be a flower boy in his upcoming wedding to Lindsay, 37, alongside former housemates Andrea Denver and Luke Gulbranson. (Carl and Lindsay ended up calling off their wedding later in the summer.)

“Two models and me," Kyle jokingly replied. "Let me ask you, so you have groomsmen but I’m not a groomsman?”

Carl confirmed that Kyle wasn’t going to be a groomsman and in a confessional explained that “Lindsay didn’t want Kyle to be a groomsman” due to “what Kyle had done and said” about their relationship previously.

“I want Kyle there, but I also have to play ball with my wife,” Carl continued.

Carl served as the co-best man and officiant when Kyle and Amanda Batula tied the knot in September 2021.

“Does this feel like a bit of a demotion coming from best man and officiant at my wedding? Yeah,” Kyle said in an on-camera interview. “But like, at the end of the day he needs my support. I’m not going to question anything. I’ll be the best damn flower boy he’s ever seen.”

Back in New York City, Carl brought the male members of his wedding party to get fitted for suits, including Kyle and Andrea, 32.

“I was a little confused and a little taken back,” Kyle confessed to Andrea of the flower boy role. “Don’t take this the wrong way, right? But I’ve known Carl for like a decade. The guy officiated my wedding, he was my co-best man. In my mind, I just like, bro, you’ve been one of my best friends for a hot minute.”

Even Paige DeSorbo found Carl’s offer insulting. “That’s insane,” Paige, 31, said in a confessional interview. “I wouldn’t even go. I would’ve slapped Carl in the face if he said that to me.”

In fact, Paige thought Carl should “punch out” of his relationship with Lindsay. “This is real life and you guys don’t like each other,” she told the cameras.

While discussing the situation with Amanda, 32, the New Jersey native admitted Kyle “was a little confused” by being named a flower boy.

Still, Kyle didn’t let it stop him from offering Carl to come back to Loverboy to help launch the beverage brand’s non-alcoholic drinks.

“It could kind of be a side hustle if you want,” Kyle said to Carl. “You could basically help promote these things and we can basically create a rev share based on how involved you want to get. I think it’d be kind of a cool way to get you know back involved, even on just a part-time basis.”

Carl, who’s been sober since January 2021 and left Loverboy in late 2022, told Kyle he’d “think about it.” But in a confessional interview, Carl confessed that Lindsay might keep him from saying “yes” to Kyle.

“I’d be crazy not to look at this seriously, but part of my concern is that if this offer becomes real, Lindsay just won’t be on board with it,” the Syracuse University grad explained. “We’re on a good streak right now and bringing something like this to the table that would kind of cause for some more issues, and I don’t want to address that at this point.”

Kyle had his own relationship issues to deal with, though. At the group’s Italian dinner that night, Amanda recapped the tour she and Kyle took of a house in New Jersey, Kyle expressed that he thought they’d wait a little longer to move out of New York City until they had kids who hit the age where they’d be having playdates in a backyard.

Amanda snapped back, “You’re not the one day-to-day with the kids.”
