Know Your Enemy
The Caps were active this offseason; picking up Jakob Chychrun, Andrew Mangiapane, Brandon Duhaime, and one Pierre-Luc Dubois.
They’ve also gotten some decent performances from their tweeners and rookies during this preseason; such as Ivan Miroshnichenko and Andrew Cristall.
It looks like Logan Thompson and Charlie Lindgren are going to be the Caps’ goalies for the year.

Game Notes
We’re all just gonna ignore the effort the Bruins had on Thursday night if we wanna keep our sanity. Sound good? Cool. Let's talk Caps.

This year we celebrate 50 years of Caps hockey, a stunning 15 of which were even mildly close to watchable. Washington's preseason has been kinda back and forth; they've had their wins, which were pretty gutsy...but when they've lost, it was a gruesome one without much exception.

Boston will likely be icing a 98% complete NHL roster, and thus this will be the very last chance a number of players will have to impress before the wait for opening night.

The key to beating the Caps, at least in this preseason, has largely come from scoring early and then surviving the third period surge they've shown in just about every game they've played so far. Granted, after last night it feels like “scoring early” might feel like a bit of a climb, but if they bring the effort they did back when they played them earlier this preseason, then they should be okay. The Caps may have weapons, but they’ve proven to be profoundly inefficient in getting them going, and the Bruins can take advantage of that.

One last look before it counts! Let’s Go B’s!
