Big Brother star Angela Murray truly made a splash on the competition during her run on Season 26.

Angela played the game her way, refusing to bite her tongue or mince her words when interacting with fellow contestants. Some of her housemates were able to withstand the heat she was bringing, whereas others such as Season 26 player Lisa Weintraub interpreted her brash behavior as her being a bully. Despite the backlash, Angela sticks by how she presented herself on Big Brother, and how she operated with other players.

At the 2024 American Reality TV Awards, the reality personality opened up about her experience on Big Brother Season 26 with The Mirror reporter Angelica Cheyenne on the red carpet.

When asked how she felt about Big Brother fans feeling that she was to “wild” on the show, Angela gave a candid response.

“It’s freaking Big Brother c’mon!...Grow a skin,” she said. “I’m a huge fan of the show and I brought the heat.” Angela not only seemed proud of how she acted on the series, but she also didn’t seem regretful of how she treated Lisa.

“So ‘twit’ comes from the movie Matilda. It is the most PG thing that I could possibly say, and if that’s bullying… you know, it’s TV,” she told The Mirror. “I played Big Brother, and it’s TV.

Early on in Big Brother’s 26th season, Angela and Lisa were at odds, and in one heated exchange between the two, Angela called her a “twit” on-air. Although Angela insulted Lisa, the latter was the one who was unanimously voted off at the end of the chaotic episode.

After Lisa left the house she ranted to The New York Post about Angela, who didn’t get voted out of the house until Week 10.

“[Angela] had every opportunity to have a follow-up conversation, and she chose to bully me for just existing in the house,” Lisa told the news outlet in August.

“I didn’t do anything to provoke her,” she continued. “I just existed, respected her space, showed sportsmanship during the game, and she chose a very different course of action.”

Lisa added: “I wish her the best on her journey — but it doesn’t align with me,” Weintraub said.

Although Angela had an eventful season, she revealed to The Mirror that she’d be open to doing Big Brother again.

“I think I would do it again, and I would probably do things a little differently,” she said. “I wouldn’t be as paranoid and I’d get my beauty rest.”
