Amy Dowden has been flooded with messages of support as she shared some news on a day she 'has been waiting for'.
The Strictly Come Dancing star took to social media to excitedly unveil the cover of the upcoming re-release of her book, Dancing in the Rain.
Amy previously put pen to paper to share her story from growing up in the Welsh Valleys to dancing on prime-time television. It also includes a candid account of living with a debilitating illness as a teen, to her more recent chemotherapy treatment for stage 3 breast cancer,
The professional dancer previously told how she hoped readers would find "solace and inspiration" in her writing. Announcing the news of her book on Instagram early last year, Amy wrote at the time: "I’m so excited to share this… My book Dancing in the Rain is coming this September.
"I had such a blast shooting the cover and I can’t wait to share my story with you. From my first dance lesson, I never wanted to be off the dance floor; when the music is on, nothing else matters, and it has been what has kept me going in the toughest of times. Despite facing the relentless challenges of undiagnosed Crohn’s disease and recent breast cancer, my love for dance has remained unwavering.
"In Dancing in the Rain, I share my deeply personal story, which I hope will offer solace and inspiration to anyone navigating life’s storms. I want to remind you that no matter the challenge, the human spirit can prevail, and that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope. Don’t get bitter, get better!"
Now, Amy is preparing for the release of the paperback version of her Sunday Times best-selling memoir. Sharing a first-look at the new cover, she shared on Instagram: "So guys, here it is, the day I've been waiting for...the reveal of the cover to my book, Dancing in the Rain, paperback edition.
"I hope my personal story can be inspirational for anyone facing challenges, big or small and if that is you, that it helps you to find the courage to rise up and meet them."
She added: "PRE-ORDER the paperback edition now using the link in my bio, reedy for its release on 28th August. I hope you like the new cover as much as I do."
And the messages of support soon came flooding in. @treks_boobs_and_tea said: "Absolutely beautiful inside and out Amy." @strictlycariad commented: "still the most incredible & inspiring book i have ever read! so proud of you always gorgeous!!"

Amy previously shared how "grateful" she is as the dancer has been confirmed as a returning professional for this year's series of Strictly.
In April, the BBC confirmed that the hit dance show will be returning to our screens this Autumn with a fresh set of celebrity faces hoping to take home the coveted Glitterball trophy.
With viewers favourite professionals returning for Strictly's 21st year, the BBC have teased that there will also be two new professional dancers joining the line-up, with more to be confirmed closer to the show.
Taking to her Instagram at the time, Amy celebrated the news as she wrote: "So grateful to be back on the best show on TV for my 9th year with my Strictly family. @bbcstrictly
"This show means everything to me, through the highs and my all time lows, it truly got me through my toughest of times. The show is pure magic and good for the soul. I’m feeling stronger than ever.
"The countdown begins to be back in the rehearsal room with my strictly family. Who else is counting down the days? Keep dancing! Welsh love".
