Ayda Field's life from Robbie Williams ‘warning signs’ to ‘unknown' family ngocc

Ayda Field is now a regular face on UK TV and fans are curious to know more about Robbie Williams’ wife.

The 45-year-old is set to star in the fifth season of Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel with another episode airing on Saturday, October 26, at 8.10pm on BBC One.

Ayda will be among the celebrities on hand to help contestants answer their questions in a bid to win a giant cash prize at the end of the game show.

With Ayda once again on primetime TV, here’s all there is to know about the actress, model and former X Factor judge.

Early life

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Ayda is the daughter of Turkish Muslim Haldun Evecan and Jewish mother Gwen Field who worked as a movie producer.

Her parents split up when she was very young with her dad estranged for most of her childhood as he made the move to Turkey. Gwen went on to marry for a second time and had Ayda’s half-brother Dylan, although little is known about him.

Ayda studied at Harvard-Westlake School in California and went on to study law and accountancy at university but also pursued a career in acting and modelling.

It was then when she was 21 that she made her onscreen debut in City Girls in 1998 which led to her landing the role of Angelo Moroni in the iconic soap Days Of Our Lives.

Matthew Perry tribute

It was then in 2006 that she portrayed Jeannie Whatley in the comedy series Studio 60 In The Sunset Strip, starring opposite Friends icon Matthew Perry.

She paid tribute to her former co-star at the end of 2023 after he died aged 54, sharing a photo of them together on the sitcom’s set.

Ayda wrote on Instagram: "I’ve just read the news that Matthew Perry has passed away and my heart is heavy. Many years ago, I had the pleasure of working with Matt on a tv series called Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip. Working alongside him for a year was truly a privilege, personally and professionally.

"Not only was Matt one of the most talented actors I’ve ever worked with, he was one wickedly funny human being. He lit up a room with his humour and his charm. I feel grateful that I have these memories and am mourning the loss of a really special man. I’ll miss you, Matt xx #rip"

Meeting husband Robbie

Ayda first crossed paths with former Take That star Robbie Williams in 2006 when they were set up on a blind date by mutual friends.

Three years later, the famous couple got engaged at Christmas and married in a private ceremony at the Angels singer’s home in Los Angeles.

There were some initial doubts though when Ayda and Robbie met as she confessed during an episode of Loose Women.

She explained: “I didn’t know what I was getting into. There were warning signs dancing over his head, but I was like ‘I think I love him.’ If you love someone you go with your heart and I went with all the crazy mess that went with him.’"

Ayda and Robbie have since had four children together, Theodora, Charlton, Coco and Beau who is the youngest at three-years-old.

Ayda Field, who shares four children with husband Robbie Williams, is now a regular panelist on Loose Women. (

Ayda’s sisters

Ayda had a whole other family living in Turkey which she didn’t know after her dad when she was little but reconnected with him via a phone call just before she got married to Robbie. Sadly, Ayda wasn’t able to attend his funeral in 2014 as she was seven months pregnant but has since developed a close bond with her half-sisters Ilgi and Oyku Evecann.

An insider told MailOnline in 2018: “After spending essentially a lifetime apart, Ayda is really happy to be getting to know her sisters properly.

“'She didn't speak to her dad between the ages of three and 18 and by then she'd missed much of her sister's childhoods.

“But the way they get along now it's like they grew up together. She talks about her 'sisters' and there is a real love between them.”
