RTE viewers said they were 'underscored'

The 11 celebrity contestants hit the dance floor for their third performance hoping to impress both judges and viewers.

Judges Loraine Barry, Brian Redmond, Arthur Gourounlian and Karen Byrne returned to give their professional and tough-talking reviews.

Irish Taekwondo Olympian Jack Woolley and his pro partner Alex Vladimirov danced an outstanding Jive on tonight's show.

After their performance, Brian said: "Jack, with your background I was hoping and expecting that the kicks and flicks would be on point and my god were they on point.

"They were absolutely exceptional all the way through."

Karen said she was "lost for words" as she praised the "captivating" dance.

Loraine recommended that he works on his posture but said he is "at such a level that is so good".

Arthur added: "Your ability to showcase Jive was so effortless while maintaining the spirit of it."

He then told Jack that he "delivered a knockout performance."

The pair received a total score of 33, but RTE viewers believe that they deserved much more.

One fan said: "I'm sorry but Jack and Rhys are on a different level to the others, I'm sick of them being underscored."

Niall wrote: "I would have given that a 10, I'm sorry."

Anthony said: "Jack Wooley has some serious moves. Pure magic on the dancefloor - a serious contender."

Another added: "Jack Wooley. I'd have given you a ten. An Olympian. And now a top dancer. Wow! Fantastic."

The show's contestant Rhys McClenaghan also remained resilient on the dance floor tonight, despite receiving mixed reviews from the judges.

RHYS' RUMBA

Rhys and his pro partner Laura Nolan danced a cheeky Cha Cha Cha to Treasure by Bruno Mars.

The dancing duo had topped the show's leaderboard for the last two nights, leaving judges and viewers alike to have a high standard for the Olympian's dancing abilities.

Rhys impressed viewers at home and in the studio as he managed to pack in a back flip during his dance.

Coming off the dance floor, the pair looked impressed with their dance but were left muddled by the judges' reaction.

Karen Byrne said: "I feel like the snake hips were out in full force throughout that whole routine; I was like, 'Woah, look at those hips go!'

"You can really see the work that you have done on the technique within the Cha Cha and I know some people avoid it because it is quite difficult. You have it going on, you have the hips, I just would have liked more hips and more work within your legs.

"Overall it was a nice change to see you like smiling and having a nice chemistry together after a serious tango last week."
