Andy Cohen Thinks Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover's 'Incredible Amount of Success' Led to Relationship Strain: 'Very Sad' ngocc

One week after the Summer House star, 32, confirmed her split from Conover, the Watch What Happens Live host, 56, speculated on what may have led the pair to go their separate ways on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live."BravoCon Live with Andy Cohen! The Reading Room from Paris Theater in Las Vegas, NV on Sunday, November 5, 2023"; (L-R) Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover attend Variety Women of Reality Presented by DirectTV at Spago on November 29, 2023 in Beverly Hills, California.

“They are both in the middle of an incredible amount of success,” he shared of the former couple. “Both of them.”

“He's just opened a restaurant in Charleston,” he said of the Southern Charm star’s new bar, which opened with his costar Austen Kroll. “He's got this business. He's got a store in Nashville. He's got a place in Charleston.”

As for DeSorbo, Cohen noted that she is “absolutely murdering it, killing it” while on her Giggly Squad podcast tour.

The television personality suggested that distance may have played a role in the split, recalling, “I was at the Southern Charm premiere party. She wasn't there at his place in New York. There have been a few events that she hasn't [been at]. She's just so busy and I just think the more and more that stuff starts to happen, you worry that it causes a strain.”

“Listen, we still don't totally know, have a reason [for a split], so more to come on that, but I was very sad about that,” he added. “Everybody loved them.”

The breakup led Cohen to wonder “who's the first couple of Bravo now?” He added, “I mean, they were really the first couple of Bravo. Everyone was rooting for them. I don't know.”

Cohen’s comments come one week after DeSorbo confirmed her split from Conover, 35, during the Dec. 30 episode of her podcast Giggly Squad. She noted the pair had “decided to no longer be together."

Despite the breakup, the reality star shared that she has nothing but respect for Conover. She said, "I have so much love and respect for Craig. I think he is one of the best people I have ever met in my entire life. I will remain the biggest fan of him and want the best for him and he truly will get the best because he is the best. But with that said, I think it was just the right decision for both of us moving forward in our lives and the direction in our lives that we didn’t force."

“I love him, I think he loves me,” she added. “I think we will remain friends. No one did anything. It wasn’t a bad thing. I think we both were just being really mature and saying what we want and what we didn’t want, and I think that’s extremely powerful to be able to voice how you’re feeling in real-time and what you want for your future.”

“He’s definitely the best boyfriend I’ve ever had, like, I can truly say that," she continued. "He was a great boyfriend, and he did everything correct, and he never made me feel insecure or anything like that, so it almost is harder when no one’s done anything to be mad about, and that’s hard."

DeSorbo noted the breakup came after they both experienced changes over their three-year relationship.

"As you get older, I mean, I started dating Craig when I was 29 and I’m 32 now," she said. "And your 30s, for women, I feel like are very transformative. And you change a lot and you grow a lot. Him as well."

While Conover has not spoken out about the breakup, DeSorbo set the record straight about fan theories about the split.

One user posted a TikTok video on Dec. 30, arguing that DeSorbo should've decided to "settle down" with Conover much sooner and she prolonged their relationship for no reason. In response, DeSorbo wrote, "May friends like this never find me."

Another user posted a video of her boyfriend ranting about the former couple's split, claiming that fans would have "to be blind not to see this coming" after their frequent disagreements on the show, and that it was DeSorbo's "call" to end things because she "spoke very vocally about what she wanted." Commenting on the Jan. 1 clip, DeSorbo wrote: "We love a gossip king."

A different fan posted a since-deleted video on Jan. 1, claiming that DeSorbo "called it quits" with Conover after learning that he was "about to propose," according to Page Six. The move ultimately “caught him off guard" and “ruined the proposal,” Page Six reported, citing the fan video.

DeSorbo then reportedly replied to the video, writing: "I’m obsessed with all of this fan fiction.”

But when the same fan posted a video on Jan. 2, claiming that DeSorbo was caught "cheating" on the Southern Charm star with an “internet personality" who is not on TV nor a celebrity, DeSorbo seemingly set the record straight.

In the comments section, she appeared to deny the allegations and even threatened to take legal action. "See you in court," she wrote.
