The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s Britani Bateman has some juicy scoop to share about her love life.
“Last week, Jared Osmond broke up with me for the very first time in two whole years,” Britani exclusively shared with Us Weekly at the 10th anniversary event of “Juicy Scoop with Heather McDonald” on Wednesday, June 25. “He broke up with me. It’s just a shocker.”
The Bravo star also claimed that Jared has already taken steps to win her back — even though he initiated the split.
“A couple of days ago, he came begging back. He begged me back,” she claimed at the party held at STK Steakhouse in Westwood, California. “He came and knocked on my window at 8 a.m. in the morning, and I was trying to sleep. … I was like, ‘What is happening?’ I was rubbing the crusties out of my eyes, checking my breath.” (Jared told Us in response that he did visit his ex at her house “because she wanted to talk.”)
During season 5 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, viewers got a front-row seat into Britani and Jared’s rocky relationship. Many costars questioned their bond and if the relationship was sustainable.
This time around, Britani said she is trying to stay strong and not fall back into similar patterns of an on-again, off-again romance.
“We just don’t want the same things. I gave him a list of what I need out of a relationship to make it work and he said, ‘I can’t comply,’” she said. “I said, ‘OK, well, come back to me when you’re ready to.’ I’m single as of a week ago. I’m doing great. I’ve got my daughter with me. I’m focusing on my girls. What’s more important than that?”
In response to Britani’s claims, Jared confirmed the split to Us and admitted he hasn’t “been all in.”
“The show has been the biggest wedge. It’s been the hardest thing,” he said on Thursday, June 26. “I don’t want the fame of being a reality TV star.”
“I will always love Britani. She is a wonderful woman,” he continued. “She speaks so poorly of me sometimes, but I will speak highly of her because she’s an amazing girl.”
While it’s unclear if the pair’s relationship will play out in season 6 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Britani is excited for fans to watch plenty of drama unfold.
“Be prepared for every relationship to change dynamics,” she said while wearing a Versace dress picked by her costar Bronwyn Newport. “It literally is the most explosive, divisive, unpredictable, jaw-dropping season. … I really think that we knocked it out of the park as a group.”
