Andy Cohen labels Real Housewives stars 'most unfixable group in every direction ngocc

It seems Andy Cohen and the RHONJ team are without a paddle when it comes to moving forward with the show after season 14. From Margaret Josephs pulling a stunt on Teresa Giudice, to Dolores Catania whipping all kinds of expletives out the bag during the final episode, the show’s last season was certainly explosive. The cast and fans are now labeling The Real Housewives of New Jersey “toxic,” and it seems Andy agrees.

Andy’s take on The Real Housewives of New Jersey

During an episode of Andy Cohen‘s radio show, SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, Andy gives his take on the RHONJ cast dynamic.

A caller-in asks: “You know, there was that producer, I think her name was Lauren or something like that, that came in and intervened. Did she call you that day and sort of say, ‘This is terrible. There’s no coming back from this’, or did you guys not?”

Andy reveals his thoughts on the ladies’ dynamic, labeling it irreparable:

  • SEVERE: TV star suffers ‘allergic reaction’ – fears it’s ‘anaphylactic’

“No. I think we, we didn’t come, we all came to the decision about the reunion separately after we saw it, you know, and after we had been sitting there and also, given the conversations we were having with all of the women who were so mired in, ‘This one’s doing that on social media and this one’s doing this,’ and it just, it was like, ‘Oh my god. This is the most unfixable group in every direction’.

“I was talking to Ayan last night about how reunions are meant to kind of move forward and move through issues in a way. You relitigate them, but you want there to be resolution and there was never gonna be any resolution on any level about any of these issues, so we all just came to that separately when we saw the episode. It wasn’t like we shot it and it was like, ‘Oh my god’ We just sat with it for a long time and then came to that.”

RHONJ fans are divided

Judging by X (Twitter), Real Housewives of New Jersey fans’ tweets show how many are divided over what’s caused so many issues on the show.

It’s no secret that RHONJ has always cast big characters. Teresa Giudice has been on the show since the beginning, and along the way, she’s clashed with some of her co-stars including Margaret Josephs, Melissa Gorga, and Danielle Staub.

These days it appears it’s mainly Teresa and Margaret who are equally being blamed for RHONJ’s “downfall.”

Fans take to X to slate both ladies. When asked about their hopes for Marge on the show, one wrote:

“My hope for her future on the franchise is that we never have to see or hear from her again. Let her drift off into no man’s land and become completely irrelevant.”

Former RHONJ star Siggy Flicker says: “If Jersey is over, blame it on toxic Marge,” in a recent interview with All About The Real Housewives.

However, others say Teresa is the problem, tweeting: “Her storyline has LITERALLY been Melissa and Joe for 10+ years.”

Another fan even says they’ve gone as far as watching old seasons of the show to help make their mind up:

“Everyone says watch Jersey from the beginning. I watched Jersey from when it first aired. And rewatched TERESA was and is the problem. What was the reason that she threw her friends and family under the bus?”

Season 14 saw former friends turn to foes, and many of the cast members no longer on talking terms.

RHONJ being ‘put on ice’ for the foreseeable prompts many longtime fans of the show to tweet who they’d like to see cast for a new season. Some say a reboot would kill the show, but others are really keen for a cast change given the season 14 “toxicity.”
