Dancing With The Stars host Alfonso Ribeiro has opened up on his desire to see longtime pal and Fresh Prince of Bel Air co-star Will Smith take to the floor on the show

Alfonso Ribeiro has opened the door for a potential Fresh Prince of Bel Air reunion - on Dancing With The Stars.

The host of the hit dancing competition has remained good pals with Will Smith following their time together on the iconic 90s sitcom and recently spoke about why he should join him on the show. Alfonso, 52, played Carlton on the sitcom and entertained viewers with the now infamous Carlton dance.

But it's good friend Will, 55, who he wants to see impress with his moves. Opening up on the current series, Alfonso answered a couple of quick-fire questions.

When speaking to E! News, he was asked who he'd like to see compete for the trophy in future seasons. He replied: "I've gotta go with Will Smith, come on."

The presenter seemed shocked at his response, but he doubled down on his answer, jokingly saying: "How much fun would it be that I get to watch Will Smith be bad at something."

Alfonso also discussed those he thought were impressing the most on the current series, listing Ariana Madix and Jason Mraz in his current top four. The series is in full swing now with celebrities getting to grips with the gruelling schedule.

Last week also saw an emotional performance from stars past and present as they paid tribute to the late Len Goodman. The British judge sadly passed away in April just months after retiring from his judging duties on the show.

The performance led to Bruno Tonioli rushing off the set in tears. Bruno had been close to Len, working alongside him on both Dancing With The Stars and Strictly Come Dancing in the UK.

This week is set to see the remaining celebrities and their professional dance partners wow in a Halloween inspired show. On week six of the competition - which lies on actual Halloween night - the remaining couples will be taking the stage with their creepiest costumes, haunting songs, and eery routines sure to get viewers in the holiday spirit. During the fright night, special guest judge Niecy Nash-Betts will be joining the panel alongside Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli to provide feedback.
