Alexia Nepola’s Ex-Stepdaughter Sophia Slams RHOM as “Fake,” Claims Producers “Manipulate” Scenes for Ratings, and Claps Back at Todd’s Portrayal, Plus Says Todd & Alexia Are Just “Friends” tram

Alexia Nepola‘s former step-daughter, Sophia Nepola, spoke out against The Real Housewives of Miami in a newly shared video on TikTok.

Ahead of next month’s premiere of season seven, Sophia, the daughter of Alexia’s ex-husband, Todd Nepola, labeled the Bravo series as “fake” as she called out producer involvement and defended her dad against the way he’s been portrayed on the show.

“Everyone asks me why I did not want to be on the Real Housewives of Miami. So, today, I’m gonna talk about that, [and] probably, honestly, give like 100 reasons why I didn’t want to be on the show,” Sophia began in the May 28 clip.

“To keep it as simple as possible, I just didn’t feel like reality TV should be fake,” she stated. “I felt like every time [it got] filmed versus when it got aired, it would just never be how it played out in real life. Obviously, the producers needed the show to get ratings, so I could see why they would, like, manipulate things to [look] a certain way, but for me, I just didn’t want my life to be like that.”

Although Sophia was “really interested” in joining the show when it returned after years of being off the air, she said that after filming “a bunch of scenes” with her sister, “they all got cut … because there was no fighting.”

“It just wasn’t interesting enough for the show,” she explained. “That was kind of the first time that I was like, ‘Okay, I don’t really want to do this. It’s a waste of my time.’ But what made me really not want to do it was seeing how my dad got portrayed after his fight with one of my stepbrothers — ex-stepbrothers, cuz they’re not married anymore.”

According to Sophia, she and her sister were in their rooms as the scene was filmed and “[heard] everything.”

“When you see it on the show, you’re just like, kind of like, ‘Whoa, this came out of nowhere,’ but that’s not what happened,” she clarified.

Sophia went on to call the stars of RHOM “characters.”

“This isn’t even real. No one looks good. I feel like every single season, they just pick a new person to make look not good,” she noted.

While Sophia wasn’t initially bothered by the alleged fabrication of the show, she ultimately got upset after learning her friends at school thought her dad was “scary.”

“My dad is the sweetest person ever, and he’s not gonna yell at you,” she insisted. “They just make a lot of scenes to make someone else look bad … So I literally stopped watching the show because it was just bothering me so much how my family would get portrayed.”

“Like, this is so fake. What are we doing?” Sophia added.

Then, in the comments section of her post, after one of her followers signaled her “ex step brothers” claim and noted that their friend “just saw [your] dad and Alexia out to dinner,” Sophia confirmed their status.

“Well yes, they’re friends,” Sophia responded, along with a smiling emoji.
