In a recent social media post, Wynne Evans has talked about his blunder while updating fans about his future career plans. The radio presenter, having previously confirmed his departure from BBC Radio Wales after they "decided not to renew" his contract, is now charting a new path.

He left his daytime show following an apology for what he termed an "inappropriate and unacceptable" remark at the Strictly Come Dancing live tour launch last December. Yet, despite the setback, Evans is riding a wave of excitement as he prepares to launch The Wynne Evans Show on a brand-new app - a venture his supporters are eagerly anticipating.

Despite the buzz, Evans confessed to yet another gaffe in the announcement of his new endeavor. He explained his mistake in an Instagram post, stating:"Apparently, I messed it up again. Um, so the message stopped halfway through, so the headline is I'm starting my own radio station. Well, I'm taking my own show.

"It's going to be on an app. It's going to be on Alexa and Google. As I said, it feels so good to say that - to not have to say smartspeaker and supermarket - other places are available. Anyway, find out more by going to wynneevanshow.com. Go there, sign up to the newsletter, and I can't wait to be with you."

The BBC confirmed that Evans "is not returning to the mid-morning show on BBC Radio Wales and there are currently no plans to work with him" when his departure from the show was announced.

Evans, 53, was caught on camera making a sexualised comment at the Birmingham Arena as the Strictly group gathered for a photo on stage. He later apologised, stating: "My language was inappropriate and unacceptable, for which I sincerely apologise."

The presenter confessed that his BBC Radio Wales show, which started in 2016, was more than just a job to him - it felt like "home". Upon announcing his exit, he revealed plans to launch The Wynne Evans show on a new app.

His behaviour during Strictly Come Dancing raised eyebrows among viewers, with some labelling his actions as "awkward". One incident involved his professional dance partner, Katya Jones, seemingly rejecting a high-five from Evans and moving his hand away from her waist during a live show in October.

The duo later explained that the moment was simply a "running joke" between them, and Jones dismissed claims that she felt "uncomfortable or offended in any way" and dubbed the situation as "complete nonsense."

Recently, Evans discussed some of the controversies that emerged during the Strictly series with The Sun. Regarding the sexualised comment he made, he argued it was "taken out of context", and was actually a nickname for fellow contestant, Jamie Borthwick.

During the interview, he regretfully mentioned an incident involving sending a sex toy to Borthwick, admitting "that was a joke that went too far". He reflected: "Unfortunately on that occasion I blurred the lines between professional and social."

Following the update on his social media, there's been an outpouring of support for the host. A multitude of Evans' followers have shown enthusiasm for his upcoming endeavour.

One individual commented: "Amazing news....good luck with your new venture Wynne." Another chimed in with excitement, adding: "Omg This is amazing. I'm so happy! Well done Wynne!"

A third admirer responded: "Good on you fella! Been listening to you on the radio in the mornings and it's the only show I love!" In addition, a fourth follower shared their anticipation: "Brilliant news, I will be joining you as soon as you start. Good luck you have so much support."
