During Season 10, Episode 9 of Southern Charm, several cast members got to talking about Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover’s relationship — both in conversation and in their confessionals.
The topic came up during a dinner at Patricia Altschul's house. For the evening, she hosted Craig, Austen Kroll, Shep Rose, Whitney Sudler-Smith, and Ryan Albert.
“Have you ever thought about an ultimatum?” Patricia asked Craig during the meal after he told her that Paige planned on spending the summer in Los Angeles.
“No, because I like what we’re doing," he responded. "Everyone else just kind of speaks for me."
Craig also mentioned that though everyone thought it had been longer, they'd only been together for two-and-a-half years.
“You can keep going on and on, but it would be interesting if you proposed," said Patricia. "And either she accepts, or she doesn’t."
When Ryan commented that — if they got engaged — they could stay as engaged as long as they wanted, everyone began to weigh in on Craig and Paige's future. Would they live in Charleston? New York? Somewhere else?

In a confessional, Patricia shared what confused her most about their relationship (and younger generation relationships in general).
“In my day, you would meet and if you got along, you would date for a certain period of time. Then you’d get engaged and you’d get married,” she said. “But with this group of guys, it seems like it’s all very murky. And they seem to have like, a schedule that there’s no end to the timing.”

Naturally, Austen also had plenty to say about the situation. After grilling Craig during dinner about his future with Paige, he gave his thoughts in an interview of his own.
“I don’t know what their day-to-day relationship looks like. Craig doesn’t really talk about it. He’s never ever told me that they’ve been in a fight, which I know can’t be true," he explained. "So if Craig was like, ‘we’ve been having problems here for three months’ I’d be like, ‘I had no f—king clue. I had no f—king clue.'”

And yes, Shep also had an opinion.
“It’s that old adage: nobody knows what happens behind closed doors," he said in his own confessional. "You just wonder, you know. But Craig’s not of that mindset, man.”
