Welsh drag queen Tayce was partnered with pro dancer Kai Widdrington for the BBCs festive show special, with the couple wowing both fans and judges with their show-stopping performance.

The couple were thrilled to take home the Christmas trophy, appearing on Loose Women to discuss their win.

After confirming it was a bucket list moment in her career, the rapper and model was asked by Coleen if she would like to do the main show later this year.

She said: “Oh never say never baby! Yes! You never know. I might be there. I might not be."

"Who’s to know, who’s to say?"

The dance duo truly wowed the judges with their Cha-Cha on the night.

The Welsh performer was awarded four tens from judges Craig Revel-Horwood, Motsi Obuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke.

Judge Craig Revel Horwood praised their dance to 100 Degrees by Kylie and Dannii Minogue, saying it was "absolutely fierce, serving realness, serving fab-u-lous".

The 30-year-old also made history after becoming the first-ever drag queen to win the coveted competition with many taking to X, formerly Twitter, after the event to say she 'stole the show.'

One fan said: 'It just HAD to be Tayce and Kai! They absolutely stole the show and gave the best performance, hands down!"

Another commented: "Well done Tayce! Come to "sleigh"! We need her in the next series please!"

Tayce battled it out for the trophy against celebs including Josh Widdicombe, Vogue Williams, Tamzin Outhwaite, Billy Monger and Harry Aikines-Aryeetey.

Tayce shot to fame on the second series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK in 2021, reaching second place on the series.

Since then she has been signed to Models 1, and has walked runways for designer brands including Richard Quinn and Namilia. She has also modelled in two Jean Paul Gaultier fragrance campaigns.

Speaking to the Mail about being Strictly's first drag artist contestant before it aired, Tayce said: 'It feels correct, pushing boundaries, pushing the envelope baby'.

"I'm here to make it clear.  I think there's gonna be a lot of pressure on me with that as well."

"But I like pressure, it makes you work harder."
