While the 2024-25 season just came to an end last week, the Caps have been done for almost six weeks…which is both a long time and a reminder that time really does fly. With that in mind, if you’re having missing the boys and need something to look forward to, have we got news for you: the preseason schedules are starting to come out!
The Caps haven’t released their preseason schedule yet, but some of their opponents have, and we can start to put together what the schedule will look like. So if you’re keeping tabs on such things and want to mark your calendar, here’s what we know so far:
Sunday, Sept. 21 – 5 p.m. @ Boston
Thursday, Sept. 25 – 6 p.m. vs. Philadelphia
Sunday, Sept. 28 – 3 p.m. @ New Jersey
Tuesday, Sept. 30 – 7 p.m. @ Columbus
Thursday, Oct. 2 – 7 p.m. vs. Boston
Saturday, Oct. 4 – 6 p.m. vs. Columbus
Eight games is the maximum for any team to play in the preseason; most of the teams who have released their schedules are only playing six, though, so at most we’re waiting on two more. Considering the fact that the Caps are the only Eastern Conference team to not have announced their schedule, and inter-conference games are rare in the preseason, this is probably the full schedule.
If not, you can be sure that we will be all over this very important news story right to the very end!
