Washington Capitals Unveil 2025 Preseason Schedule: Key Matchups and Dates trucc

   

The Washington Capitals released their preseason schedule ahead of the 2025-26 regular season.

The team will play a total of six exhibition games. Three of them are on the road, two of them are at home at Capital One Arena, and one of the matchups will be held at Hershey’s Giant Center.

The Capitals will open their preseason slate against the Boston Bruins on September 21 at TD Garden. Their first “home” game will be against the Philadelphia Flyers at the Hershey Bears’ home rink on September 25. The Caps will then play consecutive road tilts on September 28 against the New Jersey Devils at Prudential Center and September 30 against the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena.

The club will host their final two exhibition games at Capital One Arena, taking on the Bruins on October 2 and the Blue Jackets on October 4.

According to a Capitals release, the team went 3-3-0 in the 2024 preseason, and their all-time exhibition record stands at 182-137-33-19.

 

Andrew Cristall, Dylan Strome, and Brandon Duhaime shared the team lead in points during the 2024 preseason with 3. Alex Ovechkin had a goal and an assist during two exhibition appearances.
