They were romantically involved just weeks before she entered the Love Island 2025 villa
A lot of Love Island stars usually have an existing celeb connection before they enter the villa, whether that’s a family member, friend or even an ex.
Among those who dated famous faces before entering the villa are Love Island 2020 winner Paige Turley, who was in a two-year relationship with Lewis Capaldi, Love Island 2019’s Molly-Mae Hague, who reportedly used to date Premier League footballer James Maddison, and Love Island 2017 legend Camilla Thurlow, who was linked to actual Prince Harry.
Well, now it’s come to light that a Love Island 2025 star used to date TOWIE’s Dan Edgar and, to be honest, it makes total sense.
The Essex lothario, who has a penchant for gorgeous blondes, was reportedly romantically involved with recent bombshell arrival Angel Swift just weeks before she jetted off to Mallorca.
‘They were together during one of the May bank holidays in Marbella and spent time hanging out,’ one of Angel’s pals told The Sun.
‘They were seen at various events, it was casual dating but they had fun together.’
A source close to Dan has claimed his brief romance with Angel was never serious.
They told the same publication, who has also obtained a picture of the two together, 'It was just one date really, and it was after he split from Ella [Rae Wise]. Dan was very much single at the time’
Angel, an aesthetics practitioner and salon owner from Kent, made a dramatic entrance into the villa last week. After choosing Ty Isherwood as the boy she was most interested in getting to know, a shock twist meant they were automatically coupled up and Ty’s partner Lauren Wood was dumped.
Angel has also been enjoying flirty chats with Harry Cooksley, much to the annoyance of Helena Ford.
Meanwhile, Dan has mostly recently been linked to his former TOWIE Chloe Lewis after they reconnected at Georgia Kousoulou and Tommy Mallet’s wedding.
‘Dan and Chloe started speaking at Georgia’s wedding the other week. This is all very early days, but they’ve been texting lots ever since and they’re both really smitten,’ a source told Closer.
‘Dan has always fancied Chloe, he thinks she’s beautiful and is desperate to settle down. He’d told friends that he wanted the next girl he dates to be The One.’
