Venita Aspen's tight-knit friendship with Jarrett "JT" Thomas has been on display during Southern Charm Season 10, but the two are not on the best terms today.
During an appearance on the January 16 episode of the Housewives Nightcap podcast, the fashion influencer revealed that she did actually date JT, but that their romance came to a swift end in October 2024.
"I have no idea [what happened]. It was very jarring, and I think that I'm still kind of digesting it. It was like one day I was supposed to be going to lunch with his mom and him and hang out," she said, adding that the next day it felt like he "[fell] off the face of the earth."
Venita added that she has not spoken to the real estate developer since October.
"Were you guys dating by the time the trailer dropped in October?" podcast co-host Lauren Herbert asked Venita.
"Yeah," Venita responded.
Why did Venita and JT break up?
Venita was asked if she was "ghosted" by JT, and she said, "No, [but] then he popped up with a girlfriend on Instagram," she said, referring to JT seemingly launching a new romance on Instagram on November 3.

Though Venita is disappointed with how things ended with JT, she said would like to talk to him about what happened because they "had such a great time" together while filming Season 10.
"I want to hear what he has to say," she said, adding that, before that happens, "I don't want to dig too hard in on him."
Is Venita Aspen dating anyone?
After her complicated split from JT — and her previous breakup from Manny Houston — Venita is enjoying some solo time. "I'm not [dating]," she confirmed. "[I'm] taking some time to myself."
The Charleston resident is ready to get back out there, but she's not putting any pressure on it.
"I'm not opposed to opening up the floodgates again and try[ing] to start dating, but, yeah, right now, I'm just taking some time to myself. This is really nice," she continued. "This is kind of when I see myself and realize and figure out, 'OK, these are the things I liked in that last relationship [and] these are the things I would have done different[ly] when I date. These are the things that I'm going to try and implement and do better at.'"
She added, "Basically, [I'm] rebuilding the foundation because I thought I had it right, and I didn't."
