It wasn't a link anyone expected her to share

Linda Robson has shared an astonishing family connection to Hollywood star Anne Hathaway on Loose Women, leaving fans utterly gobsmacked. The beloved Loose Women star, aged 67, explained to the panel how her son Louis penned a song about Arsenal— the football team that her entire family fervently supports.

The tune unexpectedly went viral, even catching the attention of Anne, 42, who then serenaded her massive Instagram and TikTok audiences with it. Linda, who starred in Chigwell based Birds of a Feather said: "My son Louis wrote a song – because we are all Arsenal supporters – and my son wrote a song. It wasn't about Arsenal, it was more about North London where we live, and then the Arsenal supporters picked up on it and it's gone absolutely mad," Linda recounted to the audience.

"Now 60,000 or 70,000 fans are all singing his song over the Arsenal stadium and Anne Hathaway, who I never had a clue was a supporter, is singing it." While Anne Hathaway is more commonly known for her starring roles in Hollywood hits, she's recently made waves as an unexpectedly avid fan of Arsenal Football Club, reports the Mirror.

The acclaimed actress from films like 'The Devil Wears Prada' and 'The Dark Knight Rises' is not just a casual supporter; she's a bona fide Gooner and isn't shy about showing it. Indeed, Anne's TikTok account is buzzing with renditions of 'North London Forever', the hearty anthem of Arsenal, sung with the zeal of someone born and bred in the heart of London. "The group chat is going off. 'Declan is the man of the day', I agree mum," one of her posts reads, confirming that Arsenal mania has thoroughly engulfed the Hathaway residence.

Her passion for football was unmistakably revealed when she posted an enthusiastic rendition of the anthem following Arsenal's 3-0 thrashing of Real Madrid in the Champions League. While the origins of her Arsenal devotion are somewhat murky, evidence points to it being more than a passing whim.

In April 2024, while promoting The Idea of You, Anne and her co-star Nicholas Galitzine, who is also a fervent Arsenal supporter, were caught getting sidetracked by live updates during an interview. "One-nil, Trossard! ," burst out Galitzine, prompting a delighted response from Anne: "Oh I love you," before she quickly clarified: "Sorry, we're both fans of the same team, and there's a match going on right now, and during our last interview they scored."

The goal they were rejoicing over was indeed Leandro Trossard's during Arsenal's 2-0 victory over Wolves on April 20, 2024. Trossard himself acknowledged her support, sending her a message saying: "Keep supporting us and hopefully see you soon at the Emirates."

Yet, it appears Anne has still not made her way to the Emirates Stadium despite the player's cordial invitation. Before that interview snippet emerged, there wasn't much public evidence of her allegiance to the Gunners, but her support has become increasingly visible in recent months as Arsenal advanced in the Champions League.

Her affection for the club is now unquestionable. Just a few weeks prior, she shared a picture donning a red Arsenal jersey after Bukayo Saka's game-changing performance against Fulham, with the caption: "Welcome back #7."
