BAKHODIR Jalolov has pulled out of his co-feature bout against David Spilmont with illness, with the card set to take place tonight at the Montreal Casino.
The ‘Big Uzbek’ became a two-time Olympic champion after winning gold at the Paris 2024 Olympics and has a 14-0 professional record, with all fights ending in knockout.
A rescheduled date is yet to be confirmed but Jalolov took to X to say: “Inshallah we will be back soon, wait for us.”
Jalolov’s promoter, Top Rank, announced the news on social media and confirmed the rest of the Eye of the Tiger event, headlined by Arthur Biyarslanov and Mohamed Mimoune, will proceed as planned.
Junior welterweight Biyarslanov (17-0, 14 KOs) is defending his NABF belt for the third time against his trickiest opponent yet, in Mimoune (24-6, 5 KOs).
Speaking to Ring Magazine, Biyarslanov said: “On paper, yes (it’s the toughest), we’ll see in the ring.
“There’s a lot of good fighters in my weight division, anyone who is top 10, top 20, if I can fight them, I’ll make the world know who I am.”
