The TOWIE series 34 finale recently teased even more drama ahead for Junaid and Joe
Just when we thought that things couldn’t get any more dramatic for TOWIE’s Junaid Ahmed and Joe Blackman after series 34 basically revolved around the messy start of their relationship following Joe’s split from Junaid’s former bestie Harry Derbidge, there was yet another major twist at the end of the series finale.
Although Junaid and Joe had only recently made their relationship exclusive, the explosive last scene of the series teased drama ahead for them after Junaid was seen breaking down in tears on the phone to his close pal Dani Imbert.
While we’ll have to wait until the upcoming TOWIE Christmas special to find out exactly what caused him to be so upset, Junaid has revealed the current status of his relationship with Joe and it seems like they’ve got themselves back on track since the series finale was filmed.
Junaid opened up about his romance with Joe while appearing on the Sisters in the City podcast, which is hosted by Love Island legend Anna Vakili and her sister Mandi.
‘Do you know what? We are just really enjoying each other’s company. It’s just lovely, it’s refreshing,’ he told the sisters.
‘I’d say [it’s been] about three or four months. [We see each other] most days.’
And it seems marriage could even be on the cards after a psychic told Junaid and Joe that they are ‘soulmates’.
‘I’ve always, always said I’d love to get married. I’ve always wanted an Asian wedding and an English wedding, I’ve always wanted that,’ Junaid said.
Although don’t rush out to buy a hat any time soon as Junaid added that although he wants to get married in the future, it’s ‘a bit soon’ for him and Joe to tie the knot.
‘I feel like the situation with Joe is that we’re just really enjoying each other’s company, it’s going in the right direction,’ he continued.
Teasing the TOWIE Christmas special, Junaid went on, ‘We start filming in literally a few weeks’ time, but we’ve literally not had a Christmas special in three years.
‘Last series has done so well for us to be given another Christmas special.’
He added, ‘I’m not going to be stirring no pot, I’m going to be sitting in the background.’
