TOWIE is set to return to our screens in a matter of days when series 36 premieres on Sunday 17 August. And it looks like the upcoming instalment is set to be dominated by some serious love drama following Ella Rae Wise’s split from Dan Edgar earlier this year and the news that Elma Pazar has parted ways with Love Island: All Stars boyfriend Sammy Root.
It first came to light that Elma and Sammy had called in quits in June and although neither reality star has addressed the split since then, we’ve finally got a glimpse into their breakup thanks to the TOWIE series 36 trailer that dropped yesterday (Wednesday 6 August).
In the teaser, Elma appears to finally shed some light on the reason she and Sammy broke up before the pair are seen breaking down in tears in emotional scenes.

‘I want magic and I feel like I’m getting mediocre,’ Elma can be seeing telling one of her co-stars before Sammy is seen with his head in his hands as he says, ‘That’s why I hate getting feelings.’
The camera then pans to Elma, who has tears running down her face.
Elma's comments about her relationship with Sammy have come to light weeks after their split was first reported. Back in June, a source told The Sun, 'Elma and Sammy aren’t together right now, but there is a lot of love still between them.
'It’s not a straightforward split, viewers will see how Elma and Sammy navigate their feelings on Towie, as they discuss their issues to see whether they can make their relationship work going forward.
'They have a strong connection with each other and nobody really knows what will happen with them over the coming weeks.'
The pair first got together on the second series of Love Island: All Stars after flirting up a storm in the TOWIE Christmas special at the end of last year.
